Is it just me or does Sean's voice change dramatically in DAF compared to all his other ones.

It’s his laziness. It drastically changes in NSNA too

Shouldn’t skyfall have been Brosnans 5th film?

That actually would have made much more sense

Heres a good question. What if Cubby had lived when Craig was announced as Bond? Would Craig still be Bond? Would a re boot have happened?

Would daughter have convinced father to go with casting Craig? I think it's possible, as a return to basics and relating to Hoagy Carmichael descriptions in the novel. But key to the reboot was filming Casino Royale. Without a reboot the story is greatly watered down.

Related, would Mr. Broccoli have warmed to a reboot with Dalton if the film rights to Casino Royale were available at the time. That would have been epic, but I don't think the filmmakers were brave enough at the time to execute as boldly as happened with Craig.

The right answer is: we'll never know.

My personal viewpoint ?...no i dont think he would.
A blonde Bond, built like a brick shithouse,i dont think Cubby would go for that.

I think Brosnan would have got 2 more films if Cubby was still there, and DAD would never have been made the way it was.
Cubby's influence was in GE,you can see it .

Thats a very good point. He for sure would have given Brosnan at least as 5th film.

Can anyone remember if Bond bleeds (no matter how small) in OHMSS? For some reason I can't.

Hmm, I watched it again and cannot see any blood at all.

Might be the only Bond actor to not be seen bleeding.

He was bleeding when he got to his room. Not too much, however.

Maybe Lazenby's mantra was "Never let them see you bleed." ;)

Lazenby was too tough to bleed! Seriously, his acting was suspect at times but damn the guy looked great in a fight scene!

Here is a question. Do you think(or does anyone know) if TLD script was the same as was written when Brosnan was due to be cast in that film? Or was it tailored to suit Dalton more?

Why didn't George Martin return to score another Bond film when John Barry was unavailable?

Same question regarding Marvin Hamlisch, Bill Conti and Michael Kamen. (I remember an interview in which Hamlisch said he didn't understand the reason himself.)

I know why Serra didn't. No need to explain that one.

This has likely been asked, but I'm afraid I don't have the willpower to go back through 165 pages.
In TMWTGG, why during the pts does Rodney hide behind the triangle things, when he surely can see Scaramanga's golden gun?
Why not just take the gun, leaving Scaramanga defenceless?

When we look at the henchman and we rank them, and the sort, Mr wint and mr Kidd count as one henchman right?

What ever happened to Tobias Menzies' Villiers? Why did they feel the need to replace him for QOS? Was the actor unwilling to return or did the producers wanted to re-introduce Tanner for some reason?
I don't know, but they should have stuck with Villiers imo.

As I said sometime ago, Villiers should return, but in a way he'd be toughened up and would know how to handle himself in combat. It would turn out he didn't like his desk job and after seeing Solange's corpse, he inherited a whole new perspective on life.

The reason I suggested this change in Villiers is because I've seen Tobias Menzies in many shows and films in the recent years and I wouldn't say he looks anything like his 2006 counterpart. I couldn't imagine this man playing an ordinary frightened civilian or a secretary. He'd adopt a tough persona, in my opinion. At least that's how I'd do it had it been me to bring Villiers back.

Heck, he could very well be the Jack Ryan of the Bond franchise.

    Great idea @ClarkDevlin !!

He would be 1000% a better asset to the Bond series than bloody Tanner.
I would welcome him back, and Menzies has become a very good actor with screen presence.

    Thanks, @barryt007. :D

Imagine Villiers being the analyst-turned-competent officer while being a Whitehall mandarin himself.

I figure Bond would appreciate an ally like that, and compliment Villiers' conversion.

Considering the last time he saw him,as a rookie, and the reaction to Solange's body,i agree,i think Bond would be impressed at the transformation.

Maybe this is the place to ask: Does anybody know which film is at 00:40 when Lazenby wears a blue suit?

I'd rather see Villiers as he was: a civil servant that happens to work for Mi6. Why would the character suddenly change? Not every employee of the secret service has to be an operative.

I wasn't suggesting him to be an operative. Only a capable man.

Villiers is quite capable... At desk work. In any case, Tobias Menzies is really good at playing these rather weak but well meaning authority figures. Brutus, Edmure Tully... They're not bad, they just lack a certain edge that prevents them to be great.
