    Indeed.

Just seen GE again, for the nth time. We'll never have that Bond again, will we? The gentleman spy, the stylish, well spoken, dressed to the nines, cold war relic, that's gone now, isn't it? Now is the age of the blonde bruit in a suit. Don't get me wrong, I like Daniel Craig. But I love Pierce's Bond, specially in GE and TND. Dalton and Brosnan were the Bonds I grew up with, and I still miss them. A lot.

+1. My thoughts exactly, my friend. Even though that Bond still lives in the Dynamite Comics iterations. You’ll compensate for sometime with those. Look for them, @Univex. :D

Brosnan may not, but his era will be back. It’s inevitable.

Thank you, my friend. I'll look for the Dynamite Comics (which one should I start with?). Never been much of a comics fan, but maybe that'll change to the point of obsession.

About this kind of Bond coming back, well, hope springs eternal ;)

I’d start with three: Hammerhead, Kill Chain and Solstice. Those three are Dynamite’s strongest Bond comics. :D

Indeed, old chap. Indeed. Hope indeed springs eternal.

I also recommend Eidolon, as it feels like all the classic Bond elements are there.

@Univex, that shot of Bond at the casino table in GE is one of my all time favorite shots of Brosnan during his tenure, he looks so cool and in control in it.

Yes. But, that’d be outside the Brosnan bundle. Actually, the Warren Ellis Bonds (Vargr and Eidolon) are two entries that I separate from the rest as it features a completely different kind of Bond people aren’t used to, yet. So, I’ll save that up for the second wave for a non-comic book Bond fan.

Brosnan took things in his stride and was very grounded, a likeable fellow

Pierce has joined the upcoming horror film False Positive, starring Justin Theroux, Sophia Bush and more:

I love Pierce too. I think my favorite scene of him as Bond is the Goldeneye mission briefing in the projection room.

Pierce always seemed to raise his game in scenes with Judi Dench. Especially in GoldenEye

By the way, Brosnan finished filming The Misfits a couple of weeks ago. Interesting to see such a huge supposed production only endure for a mere month of filming. I hope it's not a mistreated project that would rush things and muck it all up.

Is this a remake of the Gable/Monroe film?

Nope. Not at all. It's a heist caper.

@ClarkDevlin I imagine that since it isn't a big-budget action film, and most of it is set in the same location, so a lengthy production schedule wasn't needed for this film.

Happy birthday, Pierce Brendan Brosnan. You seem like a cool fellow. Enjoy it. Looking forward to The Misfits, that Hemingway project (if it gets made, fingers crossed!) and whatever else is on your plate.
