    Awesome tribute!

It should be noted that I did not make that tribute. It was released by the official sources over at EON's official Youtube channel. I think it really does show how much they care, though.

Sir Rog has been in many things.

This may be my favourite bit ever.

I own the whole series on DVD, naturally. (Dame Edna Experience)

    THIS IS LEGENDARY

@barryt007 sure you appreciate this :)

not sure if legendary Dame Edna is known at all in the US but please have a look: (Lulu is in this too!)

and Rog singing and, yes! dancing, the longer it goes the more he sings ;)

Wowowowow my old friend I LOVED that !!!!

Dame Edna was always good and catching Sir Roger with his 'Big Knit' yellow jumper was priceless.

I would guess this was about 1986-87 so I would have been out as a teenager so thanks very much for that lovely memory, not only of Sir Roger, but Dame Edna and Sir Reg Patterson as well.

When Christmas shows used to BE Christmas shows.

Fellas, just a question. On some news reports I saw footage of Roger apparently celebrating his birthday on a film set. It looked like it was about the time of The Man with the Golden Gun or The Spy Who Loved Me. Does anybody know what this is from?

I recall photos of Moore celebrating his birthday on the set of SPY, although it was his 49th, not his 50th (he turned 50 in October 1977, after the film's release)

I think he turned 50 during the filming of TSWLM , which I know they held a big party. So
    It might be that ?

Found the footage. Here's a video, check at 35 seconds:

    Is this from SPY, then?

Of course, and they are in Egypt. Very interesting video: "Who wants the end of a camel?"...

Roger was never above poking fun at himself. Apologies if this has already been posted.

Never above it? He practically made his career from it.

Hah, so true. When he retired from Bond he was Piss taker for hire. ;)

Sadly neither of them are with us today.

Roger and Barry Norman seemed to have a good relationship during their careers. Several episodes of The Saint were directed by Barry's father Leslie from what I gather.

Both Roger and Barry were people I liked and admired. Sad that both left us in such a short space of time.

    Yes and not true apparently:

Also mentioned this on Twitter @ jamesbondlive, but they don't seem to care.
  • Loved the Barry Norman video posted by @BAIN123. Such a vanished age. I rather miss it. Never signing a contract with Lou Grade, "always a hand shake". The tongue-in-cheek reason why Rog did The Persuaders, "The country needs the money. Think of your Queen."

There really is a massive Moore-shaped hole in the world now.

Not true. According to his office or family that now manages the Twitter account.

Funny perhaps, but if it is false it is a bit distasteful since neither Sir Roger or David Bowie is able to respond to this anymore.
