It’s a shame this didn’t happen before shooting as the film seems to be a multiverse thing, which would give the perfect opportunity to replace Miller with a new lead by the end of the film, you’d imagine. Flash from another universe becomes our Flash, bingo.

Its a bit juvenile I only watched it once.
The only time I thought Captain Marvel looked good was in The Flashpoint Paradox.
That film has nothing but great moments overall.
The final act of the Animated Movie is better than most live action films to be honest.

Better than the first trailer.
I know this is not the popular opinion, but I was very pleased with the direction Snyder was taking. He had some big plans, and since I rather like his style, I was definitely in his target demographic. But that dream ballon was pricked a few years ago.
And I'm a huge fan of Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy--honestly.
I'm much more of a DC than a Marvel guy myself, and I, too regret that things aren't going quite as smoothly as I'd want them to go.
Even with the Snyder factor, I still put the blame on WB for rushing to a JUSTICE LEAGUE film. The fact that Henry Cavill didn’t get a standalone sequel after a decade is honestly INSANE.
And now we have all these supposed different continuities with DCEU continuing but only with certain characters, rebooting Batman but keeping Affleck as a supporting cameo, Keaton now on two projects that are now supposedly tainted (FLASH and BATGIRL).
The BATGIRL thing is a curious thing because I already like the directors behind it as I really dug BAD BOYS FOR LIFE and MS MARVEL. I hope this shelving doesn’t hurt their careers.
When Bryan Singer was pitching DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, he sold it as “The Avengers of the X-Men films” which made Fox executives excited.
It's all about competing with what the other studio is doing currently. It's kind of like how we had two asteroid disaster films the same year (Armageddon, Deep Impact), two volcanoes films the same year (Dante's Peak, Volcano), and so forth. Batman vs. Superman was put together in response to Marvel's Civil War (Captain America vs. Iron Man). Then Justice League was put together in response to the coming Infinity War/Endgame. The problem for DC was that Marvel had the jump on them by five years and several films. Marvel had much more traction and was much better organized. For as rushed as the storytelling was, I do think Snyder did a very good job with Man of Steel, Batman vs. Superman, and his Justice League and with overseeing Wonder Woman. As you say, the DCEU really could have gone places. The potential was there.
I think it goes way beyond catching up with Marvel. The biggest issue that the DC films have is the constant studio interference. It started with Snyder’s films and just kept getting continually worse and worse as the DCEU moved forward. I think the overwhelming reaction to ZSJL as well as some of the reassessments of MOS and BvS proved that perhaps it would’ve been best to stick with what Snyder mapped out. It wasn’t perfect, but it was 10x better than whatever their doing now. But with Alan Horn back at WB, and the new management overall, I wouldn’t be surprised if they do start paying attention to what the fans want.
