    133 years old.

Loved it when I visited New York 8 or 9 years ago. Amazing place! :-bd

Same here. I was there in 1990.

Part of a fly drive I did. Also took in Philadelphia, Niagra Falls and Washington DC. Fantastic trip.

Sounds nice. I was just in New York, for a week and a half. And New Jersey on the way in and out.

Sounds good! Certainly hoping to make it back to the USA at some point in the future? Their are still plenty of places I wish to visit.

    "Godzilla" turns 65 today (November 3, 1954).

A silly question for fellow MI members: In terms of time (not the number of films) Is Bond the longest running film franchise? Or does that honor go to “Godzilla”? For the record, I think that the Genesis Book has “officially” given that honor to Godzilla.

The Godzilla series has been running longer than Bond (1954 vs. 1962), but it has had several extended breaks: 1976-1983, 1995-1999 and 2005-2013. The Bond series, on the other-hand, has only experienced one really long break- the UA/MGM mess from 1990-1994.

Thoughts? Full disclosure – while I love them both, I would tend to side with Bond. And of course, YOLT is the only time these franchises “overlapped.”

Two of my personal favorites and I'm off work tomorrow, @Thunderfinger. I should do something about that.

Kirk Douglas turns 103 tomorrow. Quite impressive. That's Spartacus for ya. ;-)

    He’s not Spartacus. I AM SPARTACUS! 😊

Also great in “Paths of Glory” and “Lust for Life”….and…well pretty much everything!

Oddly, my late mother’s favorite movie of his was a little-known gem called “Last Train from Gun Hill” (1959). In addition to Douglas, it also starred Anthony Quinn, Earl Holliman and Carolyn Jones.

    May Kirk Douglas live forever!
