Maybe they could film Raymond Benson's Zero Minus Ten (1997)?

A belated happy brithday to The Phantom. Just recently, I re-watched the 1996 film, and while I have no clue as to how faithful it is to it's source material, I enjoy it for what it is (old fashioned escapism). Like The Shadow, it's a shame that both films didn't lead to a franchise each (maybe even a crossover).

With more than 20 generations of Phantoms, there is so much to explore. I have seen clips of the Billy Zane movie, and it looks dreadful. A few years ago I read there were plans for a new film.
  • The film itself is pretty dreadful, but David Newman's score is truly fantastic and Billy Zane actually had a good deal of leading man charisma. He nailed the deadpan jokes and could have had a career out of playing the Phantom had the rest of the film been any good.
