    I’ve often wondered how AVTAK would have been different with Charlie’s “original angel” as opposed to his “last angel” in the role of Stacy 😊.

    With a younger Bond, I wish that had happened. Nothing personal against Tanya Roberts, but... it's Jaclyn Smith.

    Agreed @MajorDSmythe. And since Jaclyn Smith is about 9 years older than Tanya Roberts, the age “gap” may not have been as pronounced between her and Roger Moore. Ms. Smith would have been 39-40 years of age at the time of AVTAK (vs. Ms. Roberts’ 30 years of age). And, given that, maybe the role of Stacy could have been written to be more “mature” and a bit world weary. I think that characterization may have worked better for the film.

    BTW: Even at 74, Ms. Smith is still stunningly beautiful.

    I was thinking of a different Bond actor, whichever one it might be. But with Jaclyn Smith as Stacey, that would at least shorten the age gap that existed between Moore and Roberts.

    They were both in Florence Nightingale (1985), where Jaclyn Smith played The Lady Of The Lamp. They were anything but mismatched. I could easily imagine Smith being a Dalton era Bond Girl in the early-mid 90's.
