Very sad about Dennehy but what hit me hardest is Howard Finkles death , the last time he announced in WWE was in 2011........you could tell how touched he was when people started shouting his name , he never tried to steal the spotlight from the wrestlers

Back in '74 he opened the door after Elvis came off stage

Hilarious when Warrior ran into the ring with Fink barely escaping him , lol

Great acting "If you want some friendly advice" but there is a threat there. Hackman turned it down but BD was excellent.

Brian Dennehy has passed away at age 81, from natural causes.

I loved his work. May he rest in peace.

Brilliant in First Blood great actor he will be missed, I stumbled on the FX movies the other week, I may watch them at the weekend. R. I. P. Brian Dennehy

Dennehy in one of my favourite comedy thrillers Foul Play with Chevy Chase, Goldie Hawn and Burgess Meredith.

Sad news with the passing of Brian Dennehy. He was a great actor, mostly prominent in supporting roles, but what support.
    RIP.

Brian Dennehy was one of those character actors who was always a welcome addition to anything he was in. Sad loss.

I too liked him in Foul Play, which is I think the first thing I saw him in and especially the two F/X films with Bryan Brown along with Best Seller with James Woods, who had a good rapport together, it's a worthy little film to seek out if one has the chance.

Best Seller is an excellent thriller. Directed by John Flynn, Dennehy and Woods are really good together!
RIP Brian Dennehy, really loved him in First Blood!

Historia de una gaviota y del gato que le enseñó a volar is still a hugely popular school reading. And it was made into an animated movie, BTW.

I couldn't do this before, But maybe typing the words now will help.

A week ago this afternoon, my dad passed away in hospital of covid-19. And on Wednesday, it will be a week since my mum also passed away of covid-19. Both within 3 days. It has been the most sureal thing to see them mentioned by name on the news, as not only did they pass away wihtin 3 days of one another, but also because my mum is yet another frontline NHS worker to pass away from contracting covid-19.

Rest in peace mum and dad xx

I just stumbled across this and don't know what to say. But it sounds like a nightmare. I don't know how old they were (it sounds like your mom at least was active in helping fight the pandemic), but it doesn't really make a difference. I'm sorry for your loss and please accept my sympathy. This sounds about as bad as it can get. It shouldn't happen to anybody.

@MajorDSmythe. Sorry to hear that. My thoughts are with you and your loved ones.
This pandemic has been awful. One of my closest friends died a few weeks ago from covid-19, and another friend's mom passed on recently.
My girlfriend works at our local hospital and is in close proximity to the virus while taking care of covid-19 patients. I worry for her greatly. I'm constantly checking in on my folks to see if they're safe and okay as my mom has already has various medical conditions to deal with.
Hopefully this era settles down soon, but I'm in a state of shock the number of loved ones that we're losing to this virus.

Thank you so much everyone. My mum was 63, my dad was 73, and though my dad was in the High Risk category, they were both in good health. They both had a touch of arthritis, but that’s all. I even spent a few days in hospital myself, because of it.

I’m no expert, but I beg everyone not to take any risks. Take care, and stay safe out there.

My deepest sympathies @MajorDSmythe , this is so tragic to hear. I know this may not be of much help, but whatever the Bond community can do to potentially serve as a distraction or getaway during what must be an incredibly difficult time for you, we are here for you. Please take care best you can and we will be thinking of you.

Thanks everyone, it really means so much to read all the kind words. I'm not going through this alone though, I brother is going through the same as I am (and then my larger family who are all grieving in their own way). But my sister in law has been an absolute jewel, in taking charge, and doing what me and my brother can't face doing right now.

Take care, and stay safe out there.

@MajorDSmythe. As with everyone else, I’m really sorry to hear about the loss of both your mother and father. To lose one parent is tough, but to lose both in such close proximity is beyond all reason. You and your family are in my thoughts, and the thoughts of everyone here.
