His work (particularly Star Wars) is must read, he will be missed dearly.
He is the Roger Moore of James Bond authors. He may have been too silly at times, but he kept James Bond alive as a literary figure. Plus he had some great Bond adventures.
Of course he was wearing a tux ;)
(TV showing , not cinema....i did not see it in cinema until '19)
Little did they know Bond would get around to that some 20 years later in Spectre. ;)
This is NOT the news that I wanted to wake up to this Sunday. Very underrated as a comedic actress - especially in "Night Court."
RIP Markie Post (aka "Christine Sullivan")

R.I.P
I remember Pat well from her appearances especially in the classic Strangers on a Train...

Una was a great Mrs Hudson.
I'll always think of her as Mrs Hudson from Sherlock. I always remember
the episode in which some strong men had pushed her around a bit. So in
Revenge Sherlock threw their leader out of the top flat window, ..... three Times !

Shocked to learn today of the passing of Sean Lock, a really funny comedian and
only 58.
Sad news, I am a big fan of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and often watch re runs of the show. R.I.P. Sean Lock way too young.

To quote Paul Simon:
“Phil and Don were the most beautiful sounding duo I ever heard. Both voices pristine and soulful. The Everlys were there at the crossroads of country and R&B. They witnessed and were part of the birth of rock 'n' roll.”

Appropriately, I heard the news of Don Everly’s death while listening to one of the weekly Beatles radio shows this morning. “On the Wings of A Nightingale” was especially written for them by Paul McCartney in 1984. The Everly's influence on John Lennon and Paul goes without saying.
RIP Don Everly
While I didn’t get the whole story this morning, apparently someone once complemented The Everly Brothers for entering from opposite sides of the stage; it added to their presentation. “How did you think of that? “Dramatic effect?” The response: “No, it’s just that we can’t stand each other!” =))
But boy, could they sing!! A personal favorite:
Another singer :composer who died recently, Tom T. Hall :

Tom was a good songwriter.
