We had moved on actually, but thanks for bringing it back! (:|
Does 'woke' even mean anything now or do people just use it to refer to things they don't like? "This bucket's got a hole in it, it's utterly woke" etc.
Anyway, here's a nice pic of a cafe which I think they've decorated for the movie. Sounds like Sicily will see a fair bit of action, hopefully involving boats.
How is acknowledging that a 26 year old man having a sexual affair with a 16 year girl old being creepy “woke”? If it’s not such a big deal, why was her father outraged and put a stop to it by shutting Indy out of his life up until the day he died?
Though the thought of Abner brushing it off sounds absurdly funny. Like he just walks in on the two in bed and has a laugh “oh Indy, you old scrap!”
Where was it said that they had sex.?
It's not a new thing to find this element of the story a bit suspect, people have been talking about it for decades.
In the script she's described in the stage directions as 25 years old, Indy hasn't talked to Abner for ten years, 'you do the math' as the Americans say! :)
And also:
It's looking strangely like it's not just set in the 60s...
Now that’s an interesting possibility.
Around Christmas time, I think they’ll give us something.

I'm not against the idea, it could be good fun.
"From 1969 back in the past for the scenes of "Indiana Jones 5" at the Maniace castle in Syracuse. After the Ear of Dionysus and the cave of the Cordari, in the heart of the Neapolis park, the Hollywood mega-troupe has moved to Ortigia. At dawn, the first shots inside the Frederick manor for some of the cast's actors including the "villain" of the fifth chapter of the saga: Mads Mikkelsen. The Danish actor plays the role of a scientist who invented a time machine that will force Indiana Jones on a daring journey into the past. And it is precisely in an ancient past that the Maniace set is set with craft shops and a laboratory full of inventions - perhaps by Archimedes from Syracuse - which was set up in the basement of the castle.
Another scene was animated by the horses arriving in the external part of the castle through a passage created on purpose and "guided" by an expert trainer from England who had the task of organizing the scene with the animals in detail. Again, part of the set was a glimpse of the sea overlooking the castle where a sort of battle took place as revealed by barrels and fumes seen in the distance.
“All as agreed - comments the superintendent of Syracuse, Salvatore Martinez - without any problem for the monument and its absolute protection. The scenes were shot outside the Hypostyle room, which in recent weeks hosts an art exhibition by the master Pirri, and in total safety for the site which, indeed, seems to really marry wonderfully with the Indiana Jones set "
. The production asked to be able to extend filming by one day and, therefore, the crew will still be at work tomorrow morning to finish some scenes. Then stop in Cefalù where Harrison Ford would have already arrived and where Antonio Banderas is also expected today."
Love this shot.
Made rarely puts a foot wrong.
