I had never heard of an International James Bond Day, and I wouldn't have arranged my schedule for it, no more than for the International Men's Day or the International Beer and Pizza Day. I find these dates arbitrary (hell, I didn't even observe Mother's Day while my mom was still alive, not to mention Valentine's Day, or Halloween). All of them are profit-driven fake celebrations without any particular merit. As for this year's James Bond Day, it coincided with my sister's 80th-birthday celebration, so it wouldn't have stood a chance anyway.

So THAT'S why I didn't see you at the International Spy Museum on Global James Bond Day, @j_w_pepper. Understandable.

While I'm a non-believer, there is a difference, even though I don't engage in a buying spree for Christmas presents. Hey, we even have two official Christmas holidays over here, plus Christmas Eve when nobody really works either and the family celebrations take place (instead of the 25th) over here. Who'd want to miss that?

@j_w_pepper and his claim about his sister's 80th is code for: he was on assignment, buying a new car in some foreign country, and got messed up in some double-oh trouble.

(All joking aside, happy birthday to your sister!)

Theory11 also launched this item for preorder (which I, of course, preordered, proving J W Pepper correct):

I keep meaning to try this - the aeroplane alone makes it desirable!
