    My old friend has finally passed :( My computer with different editing software, image files, video files and a lot of memories decided go to sleep and not awake. Various attempts at resuscitation were made, but it could not hang on to life.

    Luckily many of the image files, including useful png files, were backed up - but I may have lost my editing software.

    I'm currently looking at hard drives (may even go for a HDD and an SSD) but I hope to find a solution to the software problem eventually. I'll have to ask around - until then, I'll be thinking up a very special SPECTRE fan art for when the cold black remains of my friend rises like a phoenix once more and breaths new life again.

    I think I have something up my sleeve...

    Adobe Creative Cloud is something like $30 a month, and you get access to their entire Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, inDesign - everything)

    I've been there and been really gutted losing lots of personal files on a HD - is it a WD disk as these seem to be pants in my experience?

    Anyway, it's been a long time etc etc..

    No idea what it was, but I've just bought a Samsung 850 Evo SSD and a WD Hard drive... hope the WD isn't pants, but the main drive will be the SSD.
