There's also a mini fire extinguisher and traffic cone from that hanger for sale too. It's nuts to think that the whole hanger was a miniature. Gotta love the detail on that small stuff.

These photos really put it into perspective:

Hadn't even though that this sequence was made with miniatures!

No! I definitely thought that was all real. What did they use the jet out at the Top Gear test track then?

Oh, I think I understand now. I think they used the full size jet for the scene with the truck barreling towards it, and the model for the part where the jet exits the hangar.

The whole sequence was model work. Those were actually really tiny model police officers and Daniel Craig they used too.

They should just do that the whole time, @Some_Kind_Of_Hero. Practical puppetry or stop-motion.
It works so well on screen.
  • I know, right? No need for knee blow-outs. Just mold that knee back into place.

Yep, they used different methods to create the sequence- miniatures, 3D models, cgi superimposed over real planes etc.

I know some fans here say they could do without the airport sequence, but personally I love it.

    Some great reading here:

It's exactly what the fans want, but instead we get a prequel movie starring Spider-Man.

It's actually sadder that some people speak against fan choices and defend the decisions made by Hollywood.

Right? I have no hopes for a product like that. When you're blatantly going against what a majority of the fans are clamoring for, it's worrisome - and that's exactly what a producer/director should be doing when it comes to these game-to-movie adaptations, since they almost never pan out the way they'd hope.

That was great! How did they get Nathan Fillion to star in it? Speaking of, wasn't Fillion rumoured to star in a film or TV series based on the games?

I'm sure Fillon has always loved the idea of so many fans finding him the perfect fit for the role, so I'm sure he had no problem setting aside time to do this. I don't know that he was rumored so much as craved by the fan base as a whole.

Several years back, Mark Wahlberg was set to star as Drake, with de Niro playing Sully.

Ah, that may be why he did it. If a TV series ever get made, he'd be the perfect fit. In fact, this fan film has a TV pilot written all over it!

Think I read that somewhere, as well. Although I don't mind Marky Mark, Fillion would be the better choice if you ask me. Wahlberg would probably deliver a more physical performance, though!
