The name's 25. Bond 25, or rather, it's NTTD.

The problem with almost all of these is that they all sound like titles trying too hard to be Bondian; and that's how we end up with crap titles like TND, DAD, and even SF to a certain extent. Goddamned video game sounding names.

Fleming just came up with great titles and then by definition they were Bondian. Rather than go flowery, go terse. I'm beginning to think that the only titles that will work need to spring out of Fleming in some fashion or another.

Exactly. I always felt the John Gardner novels were guilty of the same thing!
So...we're back to Risico or The Property of a Lady (The Hildebrand Rarity sounds more like a Robert Ludlum thriller!)

I touched on this earlier, but I don't think classic Fleming titles would be so easily received today. From Russia With Love and many others by Fleming himself would be heavily criticized, especially if they came from anyone other than him.

To me the remaining titles are awesome: Risicio, The Property of a Lady, and no less The Hildebrand Rarity. Match them to a great film, and they take on greatness.

The filmmakers have done a good job with the titles over the years, I think that includes Tomorrow Never Dies and Die Another Day. And efforts to recall the books and the author with Licence to Kill, GoldenEye, The World Is Not Enough.

And I initially took Skyfall as a jab at Craig Bond detractors--a preemptive strike for "Chicken Little" outcries that the sky was falling. The producers still have a confidence started in 2006 that's playing out.

Since it's the 25th film, I wouldn't be surprised if the title includes the word Silver.

It would make a change from Gold, at least...

Actually, I never thought of them bringing back gold in the title, it will have been 24 years since goldeneye, that’s enough time

But silver is 25 years, not films.

Hell Is Here. Like all good Fleming titles, it has a double meaning:

    a. A helicopter. Here in Croatia.
    b. Starring Aiden Turner.

    FALLOUT followed SKYFALL.

They should go with GHOST NATION. Or ROGUE PROTOCOL. As reciprocity.

True enough, another back and forth. GHOST and SPECTRE. Now which came first?

So they should double down on it all. Really show 'em this time. And BOND should serve up AN EVEN BIGGER HELICOPTER STUNT. Make Craig build the helicopter, THEN fly it.

...thus confirming the codename theory and that the current James Bond's real name is Daniel Craig.

Hmm. I bet the title won’t be one of the few remaining Fleming titles left, though I want it to be.

Not a one word title, has to be a title with at least TWO separate words, and not a title beginning with the letter 'S'.

That's all I want by this point.
