The name's 25. Bond 25, or rather, it's NTTD.

    By Royal Command.

It is fifty anniversary of Majestys, so putting the Royal title in there again is a good idea, also Boyle was involved with the Olympics segment which featured the queen.

SWANN SONG. Foreshading here. The bird is a plus. Or:

    SWANSONG. An S-word.

Couldn't remember, thanks. Medium obvious. Seemed appropriate with some discussion here.

Here's a more cryptic suggestion. Playing on fears again I'm afraid.

    FIESCO OBYRITH

OO7 is driven to the edge and must take on help from all sides--MI6, the Americans, even his enemies are enlisted for assistance. There's no "O" in "Team", but desperate times require desperate measures and Bond is no exception.

Fiesco as in the republican tragedy by German playwright Friedrich Schiller, the historical conspiracy of Giovanni Luigi Fieschi against Andrea Doria in Genoa (1547).

Obyrith as in a member of the ancient race of demons (Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game).

Plus it's got two Os to make the OO7 logo. Also a natural for (subliminal) product placement.

    FIESCO OBYRITH

For a return to the Batman-inspired mission the eventuality is:

If EON is selling after Bond 25, as was rumoured, then Everything or Nothing might be appropriate.

As it's Craig's last Bond film, the title should have a touch of finality climax to it. I think SWANSONG or EVERYTHING OR NOTHING hits that note rather well. Alternative, they should give it something epic sounding, like ON ROYAL COMMAND, or mysterious like SHATTERHAND. THE HILDEBRAND RARITY sounds too small scale for a finale, and so does PROPERTY OF A LADY. They would suit an actors first film much better, which is toned down and scaled back.

Some good suggestions guys, but truthfully I wouldn't like to guess the real title. Who would have guessed the titles of any Bond film post Casino Royale? They are very bizarre, off the wall choices, and that's how EON likes it.

    Forever and a Day

Inspired by how long it’s taken to get this one off the ground.

It’s tempting to go for something valedictory but I think they will steer clear of anything too downbeat for fear it will put people off - fearing a depressing ‘old Bond’ movie, even if that’s what it is.

They'd both be fine, but would like to see them used well. Craig has had 2 Fleming titles when Brosnan got none and Dalton just one.

Agreed. I think Mendes4Lyfe is right about The Hildebrand Rarity, it would fit an actor's first entry, not the last one. I'm quite fond of Everything or Nothing, too bad it has been used for the videogame and I'm afraid EON would never use it because of this.

Swansong has been suggested many times, especially in case Madeleine were to die in the movie, but I honestly don't like it at all. Sounds too "fairy-tale" like. I don't like Forever and a day (though I'm currently reading the book and I'm liking it so far) as it reminds me a romance novel, not a spy story.

Death to Spies and Risico are my most favourites, though By Royal Command has a nice ring to it.

@FromMozambiqWithLove There Are No Spies is the title of a November Man novel (the one they based the movie on); it's a good title and it works pretty well in the context of the story. That's a Bondian title.

Also Everything or Nothing was used for the documentary so unlikely to happen.

I never understood all this loathing for the recurring words, live/die/gold/ etc. It's Flemingesque - they should always go back to those kind of titles *on occasion*, and no doubt will in future.

Seriously though, coming up with a Bond title that fits without sounding hokey is tough as nails.
