Anyone in the UK that has seen this one? If so, any good? Not too many ITV shows ends up being broadcast in these parts, unfortunately.
Hmm. Not really my thing, but doesn't seem unwatchable. I think I spot a few Bond homages too, like the jump from the bridge to the train from SF and the last scene between the lead actor and the woman in red feels reminiscent of Bond and Lucia meeting in SP.

Caught those, too. Naturally a bit curious as this seems like a spy spoof of sorts, and Tom Davis can be quite funny. ITV shows other than the crime dramas usually don't get broadcast in Norway, so I guess the only chance for me to see it, is to buy it on DVD or Blu-ray.

Here's Davis talking about the series:

@Torgeirtrap, I don't know anything about Davis, but it is interesting to see that he's playing multiple roles in this. Gives it a unique touch.

It does. Might go both ways, though. Still want to see it, as I do like spoof (action) comedies.

The time between an original adaptation and its inevitable remake or reboot are appallingly short these days. I can't even make it through the originals, for crying out loud. ;)

It's terrible. Makes everything seem more transient, less important.

Well, what are ideas these days but a thing a bloke thought of last Sunday?

Hollywood's current cycle is producing perhaps less artfulness than ever before in this medium at a consistent rate, and that's because it's the wrong people who are leading the creative charge. When you make your art bend to trends or test screenings, you will not only end up making something that appeases nobody while trying to meet the expectations of every viewer, but you'll also make a copy of something that was likely done better the year before at the latest. So few original ideas are had anymore, and fewer that are given an actual push by the studios.

Melrose definitely looks interesting. But Cumberbatch is one of those actors I'll see in anything.

This and the GoT spinoffs should keep me happy but I'm really anxious about this LOTR series. Jackson's trilogy fall into my top 10 films of all time and id hate to see this show cheap on what is still a cinematic masterpiece that still holds up.

Doubt it'll end up being open-ended like the novel/film is, and I'm guessing they've taken this one out of Australia, but it could be interesting. Might give it a go.
