Fan Art

As I contributed to this section in the beginnings of my days in the previous Mi6, I thought it'd be great to get it going again. I look forward to the new contributions that will be made and the new creative ideas that will come to fruition. For those who have worked over their art for the past years, feel free to post your old contributions as well as your new creations. Perhaps I will dabble in the art that taught me how to use Photoshop over 7 years ago now...perhaps.

Although I'm not nearly as prolific today as I was back during the build up to Casino Royale I still continued to come here quite often. I'm sad to see that everything has been wiped out and replaced with THIS.

    Hah!

I don't remember ever doing this. Must've been a quickie!

    image

I'll be the first to admit it's no good. I think I made it just for the lol's (for my own lol's at least)
Kind of fitting for my username, don't cha think.

Edit : Hah! More old junk I found laying at the bottom of my photobucket.

The Connery one at the bottom looks great.

@tananka123 old boy, what's with resurrecting old threads like this?

    Sorry, boredom, I'm afraid.

Just a fan art, not a poster or anything. Didn't bother to add any cliche titles, especially the abysmal one-word titles, but started this off as an homage to the Dynamite Entertainment James Bond comic book covers.

@ClarkDevlin, that's awesome. Did you do that with a lot of the smudge tool?

Thanks, Braders! That's precisely how it went. :D

At first, I made a whole lot of equivalent colours to that PPK frame I lifted from the Spectre main title sequence, combined them all, and then decided to play with the filters a bit. And the rest of the development is as you know.

This was a decade ago that I saw first. So I came across it again and thought I'd post. The one who worked on it did a good job in my opinion.

Thought I'd just drop this here. Not completely satisfied with the outcome, but I imagine I'll customize it for a better display in the future.

    Nightfire_iris_copy.png

Version two, considerably better, in my opinion.

    That's pretty good, @ClarkDevlin !
I still think that Nightfire was the best Bond game ever...Everything or Nothing was good but Nightfire multiplayer is a killer :D

And I agree, everything about Nightfire is a real killer. :D
  • Hi all,

Years ago, I used to make trailers for Bond Movies on my YouTube page. Having just got a new computer, I made a SKYFALL trailer as a way to get back into it. Would love to hear your thoughts! I tried to use lines and shots that weren't overdone in the original trailers.

Penguin seem curiously reluctant to put any Bond other than Connery on their book covers (apart from the Craig cover of CR), so I helped them out with that.

Nice choice of photo. That is my favourite look of Dalton:Bond. Smart casual and practical.

I was working on a transcript of George Martin's James Bond Theme from LALD, and I got the idea to make a trailer set to that kickass music. I just wanted to be as friggin' exciting as possible. I'm very happy with the results. It's loaded with violence, death, sex, action and intrigue, like the film itself. Enjoy:

I had to do some sound editing, and in fact download some sounds from the internet, to work around the music already present in some of the scenes. That was fun.

Great work on that trailer, @mattjoes! Only highlights how great LALD looks – and how much I need to rewatch it!

Are the clips used taken from a Blu-ray release?

Thought so. The image quality in this trailer looks better than the DVD collection I have. Time for an upgrade eventually, I think.

I attempted to fix OHMSS's gunbarrel, so it would fit in better alongside other gunbarrels from the Connery era
