I REALLY need to rewatch that. It’s been too long! I’d love to read the original book as well.

There are some very funny scenes in this one, and all the lead roles are well cast. They are however trying to make every minute of it funny, which they can t, and the rest of the cast isn t up to the task.

Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood

Eh, it was OK; there were times in the film when QT was being self-indulgent, but it was worth watching, particularly with
Rick Dalton's bad-ass moment in the end
    .

    THE YAKUZA (1974)
Just purchased this brilliant thriller on blu ray. Heavyweight screenwriters Paul Schrader and Robert Towne and Director Sydney Pollack present a superb tale of honour and friendship in the Japanese mafia, as world weary Robert Mitchum and ex Yakuza Takakura Ken take on the underworld, at the behest of an old army buddy of Mitchums, whose daughter has been kidnapped!
It culminates in a thrilling finale, a stunningly edited assault by Mitchum and Ken on the Yakuzas gambling den!
Beautiful score too by Dave Grusin!

Free Guy was really good fun. The use of the “Paperman” music cue as the main romantic theme for the film was really odd though.

Nothing to say about this movie that everyone already knows; it's one of Steven Spielberg's and John Williams' best pieces of work.

The opening is funny. but after that everything is horrid. Not funny at all. Of the three I have seen thus far, this is clearly the worst. Not Anna Faris fault, she is fine.

I have watched the majority of the spoof films over the years as I am a fan, the Airplane films and The Naked Gun are still right at the top.

I'm Gonna Get You Sucka is my favourite from the Wayan's brothers.

Fatale Instinct and Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid Directed by Carl Reiner are other favourite's of mine...

Worst thing about the Naked Gun movies is OJ.
Unlike in real life he doesn't kill (acting wise) in these movies....... :-O
Has there ever been a worst actor in cinema than OJ ?

    THE FOREIGNER
Directed by Martin Campbell and starring Pierce Brosnan, so obviously a film that has been in my watchlist for quite some time.

Campbell directs expertly while Brosnan gives a phenomenal performance as an ex-IRA member turned politician.

Apart from that, there is a great Jackie Chan too, who gives a sincere performance, and, as a fan of synth sounds, I loved the Cliff Martinez score too.

All in all a very fine watch.

    IRON MAN 3 (2013)
Was on telly last night, so gave it a watch!
The first one was great fun, the second, not so much!! This was really enjoyable though, yes the scenes with the kid grate, and Guy Pearce wasn't as impressive as he should be, but Shane Black, taking over Directing duties from Jon Favreau, (and co scripts with Drew Pearce) delivers some spectacular and thrilling set pieces! And I love 'The Mandarin' twist, Ben Kingsley is a hoot (or a really great "ack-TOR"! as you might say!) And the end credits are really cool! I enjoyed this so much, am tempted to purchase the blu ray!!

Love this one, Jackie still shows he's got it after all these years. The Chinese Cut of the film is even better, adds in a few more scenes and the fight in the woods/the finale are a bit longer.
