Right idea, Mr. Calou.
But wrong film. ;)
:D
This is honestly the first thing that came to my mind, before even thinking of the GF connection.
Getting so much new Bond music in such a short time is crazy. I'm looking at the MR cover and it feels like a thing that should have never existed has come to existence.
I'll try again, then:
There's a useful four letter word... and the word is LOVE ;)

With 2025 coming up, we will be seeing the 10th anniversary of Spectre. I wonder if LaLa Land will do something this year for it. It would be cool to get a double release for Skyfall and Spectre with new/expanded tracks. Even though Spectre reused it's predecessor's themes, there's still unreleased material for both films.
2025
60th Anniversary of Thunderball
40th Anniversary of A View To A Kill
30th Anniversary of Goldeneye
10th Anniversary of Spectre
I'm actually quite optimistic about this. There are quite a few reasons why OHMSS and LTK are likely candidates for these releases. Firstly, as you say, both were mooted for release in 2019, which indicates that the source material was found and that La-La Land Records have a desire to release it.
Secondly, it makes sense to spread out these Bond releases. Goldfinger had a moment to shine in October and then a month and half later TMWTGG and Moonraker followed. If OHMSS and LTK were released at a similar time, they may have got lost in all the noise and people wouldn't have bought them. Apparently these releases were intended for Black Friday last year, so they would technically have been released in their 55th and 35th anniversary years respectively.
Thirdly - and most importantly - by all accounts all the Bond soundtracks are selling really well. From MV at La-La Land Records on the FSM forum:
So it makes good business sense for them to release as many of these Bond soundtracks as possible. They clearly have a good relationship with EON and are probably keen to get the soundtracks away before production begins on Bond 26, which will probably slow everything down.
Fingers crossed at any rate!
