Back then I preferred NSNA. Now I would rank them about the same, just like you.
Me, too. I vividly remember the day my folks took me to see OP. As we left the cinema, my Dad mentioned that Sean was doing his own Bond film and it was coming out later in the year. I was intrigued and couldn't wait. It was pretty cool back then.
I loved OP as well. That was the first Bond we got on VHS and I watched it over and over, so both films I have a soft spot for.

Some films have moved considerably in my ranking though this year I have watched mostly Sir Rogers films
Can t argue with your top or bottom two.
I try to rank the films based on how much I enjoy them, GF is often high on many people's rankings for example, though I find the majority of GF dull other elements in GF keeps it dropping lower.
Wow. Why is TLD your least favorite?
I suspect it may have something to do with Kara
His ex-wifi
Ha ha. True. The worst moment in the franchise so far.
Ok parts of the soundtrack are good, I agree. BUT, the original Austin Powers is different as it was actually funny. CR67 isn't.
1. GOLDFINGER
2. THUNDERBALL
3. THE SPY WHO LOVED ME
4. FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE
5. DR NO
6. ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE
7. OCTOPUSSY/NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN

16. DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER
17. FOR YOUR EYES ONLY
18. MOONRAKER
19. THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN/ CR 54
20. SPECTRE

22. QUANTUM OF SOLACE

24. DIE ANOTHER DAY/CR 67
It's one I loved immediately as a kid and had forgotten how much I liked it. Deserves a top 10 spot for sheer enjoyment alone, IMO.
Those often vary for me. Sometimes I'll watch QoS and enjoy to the point I rank it higher. I loved it in the cinemas (except for the gunbarrel ). Very tight and fast paced. Olga was a great Bond girl IMO. At the time I didn't understand the negative reactions it was getting.
Now I find that the earlier films I tend to watch far more often. SP is one I like many things about it (Monica Bellucci), but have a hard time getting thru all the way in a single viewing.
Tier 1 (These have been my 5 favorite Bond films for a long time now. Besides the occasional switch of GE and SF, these films are consistent in their spots as my all-time favorite Bond movies. I've watched all of them to death and never get bored with them.):
1. Casino Royale
2. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
3. Goldfinger
4. Skyfall
5. GoldenEye
Tier 2 (These ones aren't quite as beloved as my top tier films, but they're pretty close behind, and certainly the next best thing. Minimal issues.):
6. The Spy Who Loved Me
7. Dr. No
8. From Russia with Love
9. Licence to Kill
Tier 3 (Pretty good Bond movies here, but pacing problems and other minor issues hold them back a bit for me. LALD and FYEO are quite interchangeable.):
10. For Your Eyes Only
11. Live and Let Die
12. Thunderball
13. The Living Daylights
14. You Only Live Twice
Tier 4 (This is the middle ground area for my list; there is a lot I like about these films, but also a fair amount I didn't. They are decent-enough Bond films for me, but more noticeable flaws keep them below the Top 14.):
15. Spectre
16. Quantum of Solace
17. Octopussy
Tier 5 (If I'm in the mood, these two can be pretty fun Bond films, but if not, they are a mixed bag.):
18. Tomorrow Never Dies
19. A View to a Kill
Tier 6 (The Bottom 5. I don't hate any of these, but they are certainly my least-enjoyed of the EON Bond films. I find things to like about all of them, but they have to stay at the bottom section. I used to enjoy TMWTGG and TWINE a lot more. Those, as well as MR and DAD, are interchangeable for me.):
20. The Man with the Golden Gun
21. The World Is Not Enough
22. Diamonds Are Forever
23. Die Another Day
24. Moonraker
2. THUNDERBALL
3. THE SPY WHO LOVED ME

7. OCTOPUSSY/NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN
8. LIVE AND LET DIE
9. THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS
10. CASINO ROYALE 06
11. LICENCE TO KILL
12. FOR YOUR EYES ONLY
13. A VIEW TO A KILL
14. DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER
15. YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE
16. SKYFALL
17. GOLDENEYE
18. MOONRAKER /CR 54
19. THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN
20. SPECTRE
21. TOMORROW NEVER DIES
22. THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH
23. QUANTUM OF SOLACE

Newest list online I found. For those who don't even care to look, it goes:
25. The World Is Not Enough
24. Tomorrow Never Dies
23. Die Another Day
22. Spectre
21. Octopussy
20. A View to a Kill

6. Live and Let Die
5. Skyfall
4. Goldfinger
3. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
2. From Russia with Love
1. Casino Royale
Mixed feelings about this list. I don't really care for the way 25-14 were ranked, save for DAD and AVTAK. Though out of order, his picks for the Top 13 are at least pretty close to mine, with just LTK missing out and replaced by YOLT.
I think you agree with their #25, no?
;)
I have OP & LTK much higher, but I can understand why they placed them there (goofiness in the former and lack of finesse/style in the latter).
I remember putting a list together in one of my early posts but I realize how difficult and almost useless it is to do so.
Here are a few films that definitely will make it up high in a ranking: Goldfinger, Dr. No, Golden Eye, Skyfall, The Spy Who Loved Me, OHMSS, Moonraker, Diamonds Are Forever.
1. Casino Royale

20. The Man with the Golden Gun
21. The World Is Not Enough
22. Diamonds Are Forever
23. Die Another Day
24. Moonraker
I could see DAD and MR swapping and OP moving up a little possibly.
My Top 12:
The top 3: I can tell you that they probably will stay there. I am amazed at the quality of all three.
On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
Dr. No
Casino Royale
Goldfinger (Switzerland yay!)
You Only Live Twice
The Spy Who Loved Me
Skyfall
Diamonds Are Forever (secretly this is my favorite Bond film he he...)
GoldenEye
For Your Eyes Only
Thunderball
The Man With The Golden Gun (my favorite villain in the series)
Ranking all of the films would be too early and get dubious results as I have seen the films once only, except for some of Moore's I have seen twice.
I can give you the film that comes dead last in my ranking and always will. An easy choice.
QoS, what a mess of a movie. A total disaster given the fact it follows one of the greats, Casino Royale. Even more astonishing is it for me that it follows CR directly and still the film couldn't drift away more in style and tone. If there hadn't been the Tosca sequence I may in fact have turned it off. Films like QoS are exactly the reason why I hate new content and will never get into it. When filmmakers seem to think we want shaky camera action and hyper fast cutting, then something has gone wrong.
I was SO relieved to see that the next film Skyfall was one brilliant classic Bond film again.
As the thread's title says "no details" I won't add anything further.
Well that's interesting because FRWL and LALD would come next! I was thinking to put them there instead of Thunderball and TMWTGG but in the end I like TB better overall and TMWTGG has the best villain, he is just incredible and I am tempted to check out some other work of Christopher Lee.
I’m hoping it can jump up a little for me. CR and SF are easily my favorite Craig films; QoS and SP tend to vary based on my mood. You’ll be happy to know I think QoS will surpass SP my next Bondathon.
