Interesting development. This is the overall ranking of all Bond forums, very heavily weighted with MI6community rankings. OHMSS is on top for the first time that I know of, by a very small margin! GE and SF have swapped places since the last list a few months ago

Same movies in the top 13 as me. My taste seem to be pretty mainstream.

TWINE is that bad, but we're in agreement about the other two, by and large.

@w2bond Very interesting list. Thanks for posting! Surprising top spot, but I guess it tracks since it is so consistently highly ranked and doesn't seem to have any haters.
  • QBranchQBranch Always have an escape plan. Mine is watching James Bond films.

@Vinther1991 Don't let Benny see OP that low! You'll "be made extinct".

I don't expect it to last for long, but it's great to see. OHMSS has so much effort put into the film it deserves to be loved.

Pretty good list Vinther1991 , the only thing that really saddens me is where you place LALD.

    And thanks w2bond !

I've grown to appreciate GF and LALD. However, they're still just above the middle of my rankings because it's too crowded at the top!

Thanks. Yes, I know LALD is loved by many. Unfortunately on my latest viewing I found it rather dull. The locations, characters and action scenes don't excite me and the movie is just so weird. The title song and the crocodile scene are certainly high points though. And no denying the movie is one of the most unique and iconic movies of the series.

Oh no, hehe :) I think OPs plot is all over the place and it has too many tone-deaf scenes for me.

For me, OP might rank somewhere in the early teens. Excellent film, but there's just so many I rate higher. TLD, TSWLM, CR, Connery's first four - all in the top ten. FYEO's in front of OP, but not by much. I think I put LALD slightly ahead of OP, but not because I think it's the better film, just a personal favourite.
  • Ranking 2019. Will be (hopefully) doing a marathon of them all before B25 (be nice to have the title tomorrow!) As it stands...

  • Haha I was bracing for that reaction. It has never been a top ten favourite of mine , Lazenby does an 'acceptable' job in the role, amazing ost and beautiful cinematography. I'll just say I enjoy those other Bond's better! :)

    Interesting ranking. MAJESTY'S!?!

+1. I do like that list. Largely conformist but with a few notable spanners in the works

I guess for some people the lead actor is more important than other cogs that make up a Bond film. Personally I favour action, score, and strength of all the characters (eg Kerim Bey).

  • Cheers for the comments guys! LALD has always been close to my heart, it was the only Bond film I owned on VHS for many years until I slowly bought the collection on DVD. It'll always be #1 for that reason and I still love the film :).

My better half ranks LIVE AND LET DIE as her number one fave Bond. Usually it's in my top 10 at least.

Always have a soft spot for LALD.
Have really good memories of its TV debut (one of the highest audience figures for a Bond premiere on Television.)

Fine list! TWINE in last place is regrettable, but OHMSS at nummer 1 is a great pick!

Started a Bondathon myself recently, have fun with it ;)

While you’re rewatching them you can always share your newest thoughts at the ‘Bondathon thread’.
