A Daniela Bianchi special isn't complete without this one though:
It's rather simple i think. People didn't have such a massive stick up their ass back then.
I see more and more movies, even from the 90's, thinking "they would never get away with that image or this line today."
Everything has to be debated and scrutinized ad nauseam nowadays and in consequence people are less willing to take risks. Always a renewed pleasure.
...the collar ;) :x
Good call though - always had a thing for Leila and her yummy tummy.
Yes. Considerably.
or
Tania: "That was fun. Alright, now it's my turn."
That is unfortunately true.
Still, at the dawn of the sixties, nudity was still fairly limited in mainstream films in the US. I believe the 1964 Rod Steiger film titled The Pawnbroker (if I'm not misremembering the title) was one of the first commercial US films to show naked breasts. That said, FRWL's nudity (a year before), though concealed behind a curtain, is still pretty damn graphic, though I'm not sure if it got much attention back then.
(Edit: of course there had been nudity before, like with Hedy Lamarr in Ecstasy, but that film got a limited release.)
Nudity has generally been implied in the Bond films, never fully shown. FRWL and OP would be the only exceptions, I think. And the most graphic sex scenes (by virtue of being pre, rather than post-coital) would be those in DAD and SF.
Also: is that really Daniela Bianchi? I haven't watched the FRWL making of documentary in a while but I think it might've been stated there that it was a body double.
Let's find out her name, then!
Can't find anything online. Maybe someone could check the credits? I won't be able to until sunday.
IMDb doesn't say, and they have more information than the film credits. If we ever find out it could make for a nice addition to this thread. (Not that Ms. Bianchi is unsatisfactory, especially with those pics!)
Maybe it wasn't a body double.
Yes let's keep the dream alive! 8->
The big mouth gave her away ;))
And I will recognize those cheeks anytime ;)
Mya after watching the B25 Jamaica teaser. Like all of us:
Not sure what exactly she's doing here... but i wish i were that floor.
I must say, my first thought was that she looks a little bit like Shirley Bassey!
Crazy perfect woman. I will never understand why Cubby and Harry didn't ask her to be in a Bond film for real. Or maybe they did?
Good find! Mýa would have been a good fit for a Shirley Bassey biopic!
Let's just say that the scene where Honey Ryder emerges from the sea in that white bikini wouldn't necessarily have been any less iconic featuring Anita Ekberg. :-D
She's been reading the May 1954 issue of Esquire, which features articles like: "SEX IN HOLLYWOOD - All about the crazy land of marathon mating..."
That's the one that should have kept her mouth shut in FRWL. Though i have a hard time keeping my mouth shut when I look at her pictures.
Only the woman with one of the most iconic cameos in the series!
"She has a lovely mouth, that Anita."
Anita reminds me of Lena Headey in some pics here.
That's one way of putting it. Another would be "one of the most shameless cross advertising campaigns in Hollywood history" :))
Indeed! But what a way to do it, right?
It's just brilliant.
That's true. I certainly don't mind it now.
