Yeah, great to see some actual footage, and some great-looking footage actually.

That's the best way to get ourselves out of the recurring topics here:
    - Should Purvis and Wade be fired?
    - Should Dave Arnold do the score?
    - Mendes was the worst thing to happen to the reboot/did some great stuff
    - Bond 25 should be titled Property of a Lady. Or Risico. Or 007 in New York.

This short bit of Jamaica Vlog/Teaser is absolutely incredible! Cary and Linus will deliver a visual masterpiece. The bright colours, the day/night contrast... it looks awesome. That's what we desperately need after SP!!!

    And Daniel in shape! ^^

Love the film noir aesthetic towards the beginning. Also, shout-out to that final shot of Craig.

Mind, all of the footage is B-roll.... we'll have to wait till the teaser to see how Linus and Cary really lensed this one haha

Glad you agree @barryt007, like I said I think it's the the tone and respect for the local culture. The shot with the gun through the blinds even reminds me of some of the early promotional material for CR.

Absolutely. If someone on a B-Cam can get us this excited visually, then....

Getting Thunderball/Licence to Kill vibes with Bond stalking with the harpoon; getting Live and Let Die vibes in the night club; getting Dr. No vibes with the Jamaican setting and music.
  • Wowee this looks amazing. Love the colour contrast and that local soundtrack. Really looks like a CR sequel! Can't wait for more!

For a 'cursed' film it looks brilliant and I couldn't be anymore hyped right now!

Looks fantastic - Fleming/Dr. No/Thunderball vibes... Fingers crossed it’ll be even better than Casino Royale. Just hope that for the final cut, they’ll keep all these great, nicely angled, splendidly toned shots of the locals. The Bond world is supposed to be infused with culture. Good song choice too. Nice change instead of the usual stuff.

It looks stunning. I know it's only a snippet, but it looks and feels so right.

Got goosebumps when I first watched the clip and I keep watching it over and over again. Can anybody identify the song they used? The mix of modern music and, I suppose, local Caribbean tunes sounds brilliant. I really hope they follow this path with the regular soundtrack. (EDIT: It's called 'Boom Shot Dis' by Kully B & Gussy G).

Also, this perfectly illustrates that that fabricated story about Craig and Fukunaga allegedly hating each other was nothing more than total bulls*it. They're having fun and they love Bond.

I am so ready for this film. Bond is back, baby!

  • People are talking about Arnold AGAIN?? The guy not only hasn't done a Bond score in 11 years, he is a has been. Next!

We love David Arnold. So does Barbara Broccoli! He is the best. Next!
Feel free to love him but Arnold hasn't scored a Bond film in 11 years. It's time to stop wishing he returned.

Roughly around the same length of time Martin Campbell didn't direct a Bond film for. Didn't go too badly now did it?

Blog looks great, real positive vibes from it, makes a lovely change to the "cursed" motif of the media reporting.

    Here we go, folks.

How can the company that gave us that abysmal launch at Goldeneye also produce stuff like this? You'd think it was a different operation completely.

I really hope Cary gets the music right on this film. I'm sure he will do. Could they go as far as getting a Jamaican artist involved? Really hoping so. Going to see Chronix this weekend - worse places for them to start looking.

And that explosion - just looks a lot cooler in that split second shot than Mendes' nonsense in SP.

Visually it looks like we're in for a feast. Here's hoping Craig Bond is back on track after 10 wasted years.

Maybe this is the funeral of Jamaican sailor who transported Bond and Leiter to Cuba and by the way home was killed by plane attack (footage from Jamaica not so ago).

The British singer Jorja Smith has Jamaican heritage, and she has a beautiful voice.

Agreed. I have the feeling this movie will be much better than Mendes' stuff.
