That's one of those films it seems like "everyone's" watched but me. Will have to watch it eventually.

Regarding Boyle I find it slightly unbelievable that someone wouldn't enjoy any of his films. They're all so different in terms of subject matter and genres. He's done romcoms, psychological thrillers, sci-fi, biopic, social commentrary and zombie movies.
If you seriously can't find anything you like in his entire catalogue then I just think thats a bit odd.
In terms of Boyle and Bond I think I would have preferred a Boyle Bond film to a Mendes Bond film. Overall I definitely prefer Boyles back catalogue to that of Mendes. Much more enjoyable and rewatchable.
Agreed. I'm glad we got Fukunaga instead because I think he's more suited to Bond and I don't think Boyle would have been the best choice for a Bond movie - but he's a great storyteller and at the end of the day I would have been happy if we got him anyway.

Me too that's a nice throw back.
Like @Getafix said, it's hard to pin Boyle down because of the sheer variety he's shown through his career, but I really do think we would have got something a lot more pacey and down and dirty with him, and I do think Hodge's screenplay would have been more groundbreaking than Purvis and Wade's latest (I know Waller Bridge is polishing it but it's their story isn't it).
I'm still excited for Bond 25 and I really do think that DC's commitment to going out on a high will make it something special, but Boyle leaving will always be one of the biggest what ifs for me.
I need to get me one of these.

Finally a closer look at B25's watch!
These things are mightily impressive. The days of building a crane for a high angle shot are gone, as are the days of spending a few thousand on helicopter rentals.
Okay, mostly ;) And certainly for more modestly budgeted films.
Maybe we'll get another impressive aerially-shot action sequence like 'that' fight sequence at the Kobe docks in YOLT?!! I hope so!
If I'm not mistaken the suit/tie choice isn't a million miles from YOLT either!

They probably used the helicopter due to the speed the cars were driving at, as well as other factors, like wind etc. I can imagine sudden heavy wind could make using drones a bit difficult.
