Like I always say as long as its handled well, I'll be happy.

Just don't screw over Malek for Waltz please :)

Prison does have this uncanny ability to make bad people going in become even worse before coming out.

One can only imagine what Blofeld's been up to...

And quite frankly, I think PWB will deliver better dialogue than:

"Oh, I do hope that hurt"

    or

(with Mendes directing the vaudevillian chuckle) "I've really put you through it, haven't I? Oh, that's brothers for you; they always know which buttons to press." Christ, that's not on-the-nose dialogue, it's kick-you-in-the-face dialogue, and when you go down, further kicks to the nuts, just to make sure you got the point that Blofeld was a really naughty step-brother....

Yes, after watching Fleabag and Season One of Killing Eve (Season Two lost it's magic a little after PWB departed as a writer), I am convinced this lady will deliver intelligent and biting dialogue that Fleming himself would have a chuckle at...

In light of this leak, I think the stakes have now been raised immeasurably.
Not only does this film now need to be the BEST Bond film in the franchise, but the greatest movie ever made.

Couldn't agree more, don't get me wrong I loved Series 2 but you're right that it had lost it's sparkle. She for sure will deliver some great dialogue.

I would loved to hear M say "this is the Big one 007"

Now that's the kind of reference to an earlier film I actually don't mind.

@Denbigh, it was amazing that Jodie Comer just got better (as I found the episodes were slightly weaker-- until the last three, that is (where they found a spark again)...

But watching PWB riff in FB (1&2) blew me away (it was highly sexy, funny, real without pretentiousness).....

I almost got a stroke from the good news! Waltz is back as Ernst!! Is Rami Malek Blofeld's mutant child? Is Bond Blofeld's real brother? So many questions that need answering.

Completely, I think one of my favourite and shocking moments from Series 2 involved
    Spoiler
Gemma, the teacher, when Nico wakes in the storage unit.
...but yeah keeping on topic. Can't wait to see what Phoebe does :)

Definitely, and the writing was so clever and well-structured that I genuinely forgot about them being in there, before we cut back to that scene. Anyway we should probably continue this review elsewhere :D

Great news that Waltz is back as Blofeld. I love that EON's sticking to their guns with the continuity they've built and are aiming to finish out the Craig era they way they've clearly been hoping and planning to for awhile now.

I would have been intrigued to see the Boyle/Hodge experiment, whatever it was, but ultimately—I'm very happy we're getting the film we're getting. Just absolutely can't wait for that first trailer now.

Wonder if they will tease him in the trailer? Maybe a cat?

I think it would be wise to make Malek the star reveal of the trailer.

Agreed. The extent of Waltz involvement, big or small, should be kept under wraps as much as possible. Plus, Malek is the man of the hour. He's hot shit.

Yeah giving him away would be a big spoiler in the trailer.

Another tricky story element, I don't envy the writers...

I’ll never understand why EON teased us with the spectre saga/story in 2015 and likely knew it very well could be Craig’s last or that B25 would be a long long way off.

It's very simple. Eon remain in the present. They focus on the job at hand.

Although, you say they probably knew it would be Craig's last, even though Spectre's ending is the closest thing we've got to an "ending" in the Craig-era.

Could Malek's character be the son of Blofeld or be the new head of Spectre.
    🙄😕

An additional (key) nugget in Perez's updated story:

    https://theplaylist.net/christoph-waltz-bloefeld-bond-25-20190711/
    Spoiler

He claims Blofeld indeed returns in a sort of "Silence of the Lambs" type scene, being mined for information while imprisoned by -- get this -- Lea Seydoux. So that would suggest Madeleine indeed survives the pretitles, and has a larger role to play in the story than some might assume.

I can personally add that I've heard conflicting reports about her character's fate from various sources whom I'd (all) consider trustworthy, so I've no idea what's what at this point. But I hope the take Perez offers here turns out to be true.

    Now that is quite fascinating...

I'm somehow surprised, and yet not surprised that Waltz is back! I kind of set it my mind that the longer B25 took to get going the more unlikely any Spectre story elements would be brought back, besides Seydoux.

At least this time the writing will be better! [-O<
