@slyfox, did you say they were filming night scenes? Bond & Madeleine's arrival?

Anyone else notice the parallels between Bond & Swann’s outfits & Bond & Vesper’s outfits when they were in Venice?

Bond in blue, the lady in red. Kind of interesting. Perhaps it’s another nod to Casino Royale.

The whole thing echoes Venice in CR. Bond is in love and thinks it’s happily ever after. Little does he know of vespers betrayal. We don’t know what happens yet but it looks like bond turns into a killer again on matera

What did the woman throw off the balcony?

It appears she lit a candle with a burning piece of paper or something and then tossed it from the balcony.

Judging by the camera angle, looks like it could be a cool shot of Bond and Swann kissing with that flaming piece fluttering above them.

Don’t like to get my hopes up but maybe there will actually be some character movement instead of just explosions. :)

If it’s corduroy, this is wrong for James Bond.

By jolly, that last picture...….almost one of the best hommages in Bond-history: a hommage to "Casino Royale". :x

From everything we are seeing, the Matera scenes seem like a direct follow on from the end of SP - Bond and Madeleine appear in love, suggesting this is still early in their relationship, they are also in the DB5. It feels like Bond wants to say his final farewell to Vesper so he can fully move on with his new life. But then Spectre agents strike... I am sure the Jamaica scenes, set a few years later, come after the Matera scenes - and I suspect something happens to Madeleine in Italy which makes Bond believe she's dead or out of his life for good, hence he's alone in Jamaica.

Wow look at the light on those steps. The cinematographer is a master of colour I have to say.

Maybe something happends on the beach (if there is such scene at all) >> think Skyfall-scene with dying M in Bond's arms, holding her, crying >> and that moment leads to the title song/pre-credit >> Bond alone in Jamaica

Probably a question for those with experience / knowledge, but is it fair to compare scene numbers from other films? Is there a chance that there are more scenes which are just shorter? I'm guessing this would be the case for an action scene?

This lady is the hair designer, Zoe Tahir. Think I've seen in Matera pics, checking Lea's hair. Also worked on SP, SKY, QoP. https://www.instagram.com/filmhair_tahir/

Beautiful Matera .. from my balcony this morning .. we have well and truly taken over this stunning town . Work trucks and crew filling the streets . I am loving my apartment feeling submerged in this place of wonder and beauty . #matera #b25 #filming #bond #danielcraig #bondmatera #location #locations #007 #balcony #views #myhomefornow #workingabroad #work #workoutroutine #hairdresser #whatanexperience

Yes, that can be the case, although action scenes can also be split up (in the script) as A, B, C, etc. under specific scene numbers.

Yes, a lovely scene. Me and my friend saw it exclusively. I'be heard no paparazzi got it. It was an obstructed view for the masses but I was in a spot where I could film it. Will make sure it's uploaded here in the next week, along with the rest. A cafe building was converted into the hotel entrance. Hotel staff extras wore a smart green uniform. The set has been dismantled already so they got the shots last night.

This is spot on. I would like to add, that another possibility is Swann betraying Bond (maybe her child from the PTS is used to blackmail her.)

You mean herself when she was a child?

(kidding, don't start this flashback/dream/present rubbish again, please. Specially here).

Can't wait to see that, @slyfox. But for now, I really like your description of the scene. Very CR.

I don't see that happening, not a repeat of the Vesper scenario - it would be too similar. Madeleine and Bond seem genuinely in love, and we know Madeleine has spent her life trying to escape her past and association with her criminal father.

I'm taking a break from today's filming and heading to the coast for the beach and some pasta and fresh seafood! But I'm told that today there is
both more close up car and bike scenes and a fistfight between Bond and Dali Benssalah's character who we have seen tailing Bond before with his distinct haircut. Bond will knock him off his bike too. Tomorrow they'll film at the hotel room set.

Probably the scene where he gets the Triumph Scrambler, then. Cool.

Have a nice break, @slyfox. You've been Our Man in Matera, and you truly deserve the best beach and pasta the south of Italy has to offer. Cheers mate.
  • The jacket is a little too hipster for Daniel's Bond:

I think the t-shirt looks better. Perhaps if he tucked it in with a black belt.

I thought all clothes in all Bond-films were godawful!

Anyway, looking at these pictures my feeling is very different. We see an actor having fun on set. Loving to play the character James Bond 007. I am…..I am already gonna miss the man. I will most definitely shed a few tears shortly before the end credits roll of NTTD. God, can he not be…...tricked in doing a 6th? :( :((
