I like how it has a grittier, more realistic and less stylized approach to it. When I look at this poster I think of the beginning of the Goldfinger novel when Bond is in a back alley if I remember correctly and had to kill a Mexican.

If they come out with another, I’d like to see Bond in a suit but not a tuxedo with some kind of cultural festivity going on in the background.

Oh, I do remember one of the Spectre posters with the mask. That was cool but I didn’t like the Live and Let Die rip off one at all.

My initial, visceral reaction was 'meh' but reflecting on it I think it does its job exceptionally well.

It's a teaser poster. It needs to say: James Bond is back (tuxedo'd Daniel Craig), title, date, and that's it. The fact that it's a kinetic action shot is kind of gravy, and -- as I said before -- I suspect that tells us something about the energy of the film and the way they're going to sell it.

One (perhaps) telling pickup from both this and the title reveal video: they've gone out of their way in both of these official pieces to depict Bond without a gun.

I know a lot of people are gonna complain but I feel extremely happy with all the James Bond stuff we’ve received today. While all of it is not for the new film, as Bond fans we have been well presented with all these bits and pieces that are being released in honour of our favourite franchise :)

I think this fits in nicely with the kind of naturalistic style Fukunaga is, likely, going for. The teaser is a bit dull, but by the same token, it's possibly saying something to us too.

Greg Williams just confirmed that he took the picture...

So I am guessing it was on the pinewood set? Is that Cuba?

The poster in a word: meh. The worst of Craig's imho.

As is the case with so many recent movieposters, this one looks quite "photoshopped".

    I’m pretty sure that’s a production still.

That’s obviously a wall behind him. Either Cuba or Jamaica.

At first I thought it was a weird photoshopped background but the full image clearly shows it’s a wall.

    Still a weird poster.

Yes, I suppose so. Very curious to know more about that sequence.

Just to clarify it’s expectations that are whats getting people frustrated and annoyed, not the production itself so let’s leave them alone yeah. Thank you. Have a great James Bond Day everyone :D

Agreed; in the past we've had Bond Day marked by things like "get 10% off a tshirt." I wouldn't expect Christmas.

Second, and I've mentioned this before, I've seen all the movies and read all the books, but I'd never heard of James Bond day until recently. It's perhaps not the marketing lever that superfans think it is.

Looks like we’ll be getting a tuxedo sequence in Cuba :) At first glance I wasn’t sure, but I’m really digging it

I'd quibble with this - we might infer that, but it's equally possible that this was simply a photoshoot on set at Pinewood.

Considering Greg Williams took it and they shot the Cuba scenes at pinewood it is probably Cuba..

I would like to know whether Fukanaga has read the Fleming books or at least some of them.

Cary is too woke for Fleming

In addition to the three Aston Martin cars announced, the new DBS Superleggera will appear in No Time To Die.

Love the Superleggera! That’s what DC should be driving instead of the Vantage.

Nice Tweet from Aston Martin. Do we suppose these shots are all official/locations form the film? The DB5 and V8 ones certainly seem to be.

Can we make out which location the Superleggera is in?

Do you think the Superleggera will be a short cameo? Maybe even a villains car?

That's not the actual poster, is it? If so, it's very underwhelming.

We haven't seen Superleggera and Valhalla in action at all. Not even parked in between takes. Right?

Talk about running a tight ship

Valhalla - Shipping container yard aka pinewood.

    Superleggera - Norway or Scotland?

If that is the teaser poster, I wonder what the final film poster would look like.....

So since the teaser poster has been revealed, by principle, wouldn’t the trailer be right around the corner?

    Thanks.
  • I'm guessing you've heard about the new release date in the UK? April second instead of the third.

I hope Bond gets to drive it. It would be awesome to have him slowly updating his car to a current model throughout the film.

Interesting that all of the partner brands are releasing content today, but the poster features a blurry picture of a watch. Are they not ready/going to announce his new Omega?

I'm soooooo glad about the Superleggera!

That'd odd, isn't it? Particularly because we know that they've shot some publicity around it, right?
