So what's the likelihood for a trailer reveal while he's on Colbert? :D

As he is there to promote Knives Out, very slim.

    True.

Pretty casual interviews: First Ana with Chris Evans, followed by Craig with Jamie Lee Curtis. Then Craig again at 07:33

Never seen Craig so at ease. Good for him. Cool interviewer. Must have something to do with that, and with the company he's with.

Wow, Craig is very relaxed here. Good interview!

I'd bet that Craig must have points on the box office for Knives Out. It's rather low budget, so to get such a cast, they offer points for the lead rather than a large fee. So, even if Craig isn't a producer, he has an interest in Knives Out getting a lot of attention, and revealing the trailer to No Time to Die could steal Knives Out's thunder. Sure, they'll mention NTTD, but not to the point that Knives Out is pushed to the side.
Not to mention that probably any Bond actor is keen on promoting his career outside of Bond, and even more so when there is a possibility he will not return as Bond.

I´m not sure what to make of Johnson. He talks so reverently about the genre. Does that go onyl for this certain genre, or did he repent for what he supposedly did with Star Wars, or can we espect similar unrest now with the Whodunnit fandom (if there is such a thing) ;-)?

I hope he doesn't. Regardless of TLJ's flaws (and there are many) he's got the lore aspect totally right.

Maybe so. BUT ... I have contended that DC has a future in this series as a producer. So I could see him do this.

Yeah I can't defend this caroline Graham piece this time no way is he being a director this sounds like tabloid speculation. As for the other article Bond sounds like he is married a committed relationship is marriage.

I´ll wait till I´ve seen NTTD before I form a definitive opinion on DC as producer. I´m not happy at all how the last two films turned out, but I have much better hopes for this one.

The distance beetween first trailer and release date is now way lower for Bond 25 than for either SP or SF.

So what. It’s no yardstick for quality. Casino and skyfall were successful because of great word of mouth. QOs and spectre both crashed and burned relative to their predecessors. The timetable for trailers means jack. I really don’t understand why anyone cares about it so much.

Spectre only did 300 or so million less than skyfall. Far from crash and burn.

    Impatience. That’s the only reason.

And even that is not telling the truth.

SP made just 228 m less global box office than SF.
    - Half of that difference comes from US market (!)
    - most of the rest comes from the UK

On top of that, SP was released at a time of a very unfavorable EUR and GBP to USD Fx rate.
So in fact SP sold similar number of tickets as SF, in some markets even more.

Well there you go. No wonder we’re getting a spectre sequel.

Maybe when DC is on the Colbert show he may give an indication as to when the trailer is coming out? That would certainly be welcome?

an unfavourable dollar and euro exchange rate doesn’t affect turnover and box office it affects profitability. Spectre was released 3 years after skyfall and did c.30% less business. I think that’s the biggest drop off film to film since licence to kill.

SP finished 2015 ranked #6 in worldwide BO. Skyfall: #2. I thank that is the proper way to look at it. Both films were successful.

    Let's move on.

Adjusted for inflation, SP is the fourth highest grossing Bond film of the franchise. Just behind GF (#3), TB (#2), and SF (#1). That's pretty noteworthy.

I am afraid you didnt get my argument.
With the exact same number of tickets sold, SP would have made less box office, as the local currency values of tickets sold gets translated in USD, and THAT is the problem that SP had

I didn't know this. That's interesting. Also don't forget that SPECTRE had some major competition since many blockbusters came out in 2015 (new Jurassic Park movie and new Star Wars movie and I think a new Avengers movie as well?). As far as I remember The Dark Knight Rises was the only big blockbuster aside from Skyfall? I can't remember another.
