I liked it too. I was reminded of George Clooney's little-used apartment in Up in the Air -- not the decor, but its minimalist, functional vibe. Like Ryan Bingham, Bond simply isn't "home" a whole lot.
They need to, going back to the books would help difference the next James Bond.
There are certain gentlemen in the Notting Hill area who could’ve afforded me the luxury but I’d have had to have put more than my back into it.

Yeah it would be odd. Even Tony Stark didn’t have a servant who brought him meals and he was a billionaire! Imagine Harris’ Moneypenny’s reaction to finding out Bond has a servant..!
Remember in Bond's world, food simply appears. HE does not cook.
I was going to say, I think the only time May would have worked in film is at the beginning of LALD. Craig’s Bond having a maid wouldn’t work in the modern era I don’t think.

Yes I could just about picture that. Connery would have seemed emasculated a bit I think, although it may have worked with Lazenby as he seemed a bit of a man child.

Agreed as far as Moore is concerned.
The BBC´s Sherlock practically invented a character for Mrs. Hudson that worked quite well IMO. If the Bond producers want to explore more of Bond´s personal life, something like that might offer possibilities. Especially since MP for a long time now doesn´t have the pampering role she used to have in the past. And just imagine the psychological possibilities if Bond had both MP and May looking after him!

Interesting insight on how far they got with the Danny Boyle version of the film. It looks as though it will be very different from NTTD.
Tildesley reveals that a rocket was being built at Pinewood and a Russian gulag being built in the mountains in Canada. Perhaps this is the place rumoured to be where Bond would be imprisoned......
Besides the fact that Bond would have been imprisoned for a large portion of the narrative, what exactly do we know about the story that Boyd was developing? It's the first time I learn about a possible rocket in the plot.
Rumors said Boyle wanted to kill off Bond, and that's what caused the split between him and EON.
If that's true it does imply that the ending of the leaked Reddit synopsis could more likely be what happens.
If this is true then why does fukunaga version named "No Time To Die" considering why they split with Boyle.

My crackpot theory is that the (awful) prediction that Safin = Dr. No is true, and the title is actually a pun.
