Got scared in a Bond movie (those moments that just make you go whoa!)

That's right ladies and gentlemen that's the scary moments of Bond movies. Do you have a favorite? I think gave me a jump first time my dada showed me OHMSS and when Bond comes face to face with that guy in the gorilla mask.

As a somewhat impressionable 9 year old, Zao looked pretty scary. Especially in that big hooded coat.

    Nowadays, a bit silly.

Wasn't it a polar bear instead of a gorilla?

Maybe not “scared“, but the moment that made me jump out of the seat more than once was “Pussy“, Stacey's cat that suddenly appears on the stairs accompanied by this horrifying scream.
  • Zao was very scary, dada showed me DAD and I thought he was scary for same reasons and Mallory says.
  • Well its October, month of Halloween. All Hallows eve. Or Samhein (Sammon). So, let's get into the spirit of things and list some scary Bond moments. Let's get into it guys. We need some more activity in this thread.

Baron Samedi, very scary. What else can be said for the performance of actor Geoffrey Beene in his film debut? With his white painted skull face, hes one that gave me nightmares. And one you'll never forget.

There's also the part in Moonraker where the dogs are chasing Corrine Dufoh, they played the tension perfect.

There's another thread here somewhere, where we discuss all the 'scary' moments in the series.

My top 3 scares in Bond Movies:
    1. When Bond is being tortured in Casino Royale.
    2. When Corinne is being chased in the forest by the Dobermans in Moonraker
    3. When Alex Trevelan survives the fall into the observory dish in GoldenEye.
  • Only one for me (Bond movies don’t scare me). But I was 11 when I saw LALD, my first PG movie. So graduating from Disney to Bond, I must say the scarecrows in the poppy fields scared the heck out of me at first (during Rosie’s death) and I hid my young eyes.

Not particularly scary but the moment Mr. White is shot by Bond at the end of CASINO ROYALE nearly made me jump from my seat.

Just one unnerving moment for me in these films, and that is when Skyfall blows up. Because at that point, the film is in uncharted territory in terms of the Bond formula, the first time I saw the film, that explosion had an "anything goes" quality to it. I didn't really know what was going to happen, and to who.

John Glen’s darn jump scares which become far more annoying in a home theater environment!

Yes. 100%. And it is still a "jump out of your seat" moment if you're not ready for it.

The smash cut from Trevelyan’s “For England, James” to Natalya kicking and screaming in the back of the Tiger helicopter in GoldenEye
