Here's a slightly madly priced(!) listing for NTTD:

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/No-Time-Die-Limited-Blu-ray/dp/B09GQ81BKF/

    71GDQ63nhML._AC_SL1500_.jpg

And released in a mere 89 years time :)

Unfortunately you’ll have to wait a bit longer as it’s currently due to be released in the year 3000 according to Amazon. (979 years from now). I think 4K might have moved on by then, just a guess though. 😉

If the NTTD steel was made to match the other 4k steels, it’ll look similar to this:

Damn, I love the coloring. I’d be very satisfied with that.

I like it too. My hope remains that it will incorporate the titles sequence imagery.

Which I don’t know anything about so don’t tell me!!

Maybe the whole titles sequence is just Bond walking towards the camera in front of a purple background, in which case, I’ll go with the above.

Anybody else enormously disappointed by the ugliness of the steelbook's artwork? Seriously considering not buying this.

Looks amazing. Somebody call Zavvi and tell them we have a better design.

I'm sure there'll be a few variations of steel books.
  • Do you think we will get a new box set of all 25 films any time soon? I believe universal has the rights for physical media for No Time To Die, but Warner has the physical rights for all the other bond films. Whether that will change in the future I don’t know.

I hope so, for all formats. Even though the series is still alive, a collection always feels far more “complete” when it goes through a whole actor’s era at least, as it would with NTTD now.

Hoping for 5 piece Daniel Craig Collection in 4K/UHD steelbooks.

Pipe dream is extended directors cut of Quantum of Solace, but not holding my breath.

It will eventually change. Sony originally had the rights to the DVD/Blu-ray releases for CR, but by 2012 it reverted back to MGM’s deal with Fox.

I do hope we get a 25 UHD film set. As much as I love the Bond 50 blu-ray set, it always feels incomplete without Craig’s latter three films. I’m OCD that way! It shouldn’t be any trouble assembling that. Studios have become much more lax about film sets containing films from different studios. FRIDAY THE 13th set is a good example as different films in that set are owned either by Paramount or WB. Shouldn’t be an issue for Universal’s NTTD joining a Warner 1-24 set. But we’ll see.

Given how expensive UHD is though, it wouldn’t surprise me if they just split up the sets for Bond actors. They finally did that for blu-ray, as prior to that an actor’s individual set NEVER happened.

Yes, I reckon there’ll be a good chance next autumn to celebrate 60 years of the franchise and bring together all of Daniel Craig’s films whilst also aiming for the Christmas market.
I think this is why the ‘Bond 25’ cd has been delayed as that could also be released for the 60th year.

What 60th? Bond is dead ;)

    Hi everyone,
I'm having a very odd issue watching the 4k collection on iTunes using my Xbox Series X. There is a weird blurring at the top of the image.

Exiting the movie and going back in stops it but often it pops up again after a few seconds. I have tried reinstalling the app, power cycling but no joy.

On my PS5 the image is fine but for me the picture and sound on the Xbox is superior. The attached video only shows the issue in the top corner of the screen but it usually extends the whole way across. Anyone else having this issue?

@Jukebox_Jim, it's probably not much help, as I don't use iTunes, and I'm sure you've already tried it but maybe try tweaking your video resolution settings on the Xbox and see if that fixes it? Could just be a simple Picture option issue that you're having.

@Creasy47 Thanks for the reply and once I get the kids to bed this evening I'll be going after the xbox settings. I know that on Netflix the console forces hdr on everything so perhaps that might be the cause here. It's just so frustrating as instead of having a beer and watching Majesty's in delicious 4K tonight I'm going to obsessing over this nonsense instead!

No problem! I'm happy to help.

And yes, that very well may be the case. I only have a PS4 and PS5 myself but I know I've also had some weird, easily-adjustable video setting issues in the past when it comes to HD versus HDR and what my console or television is choosing to recognize at a given moment. Usually running through some separate display options seems to do the trick. I hope it does for you.

I really need to bite the bullet and check these out in proper 4K sometime. I know I won't regret it, I'm just so used to diving into my blu-ray collection instead. I'd love for the pre-Craig era films to get a 4K physical release already, they're in dire need of one.

Technology making everything easier, eh. :( Hope you get it sorted out! You'd think a movie on a 2021 console would be a no brainer! :))

@NickTwentyTwo As a mate of mine says 'What an age we live in.. But nothing works!'

@Creasy47 To my eye at least the digital 4K is a significant boost over the blu ray. Goldeneye in particular looks fantastic and with OHMSS I tested Bond arriving at the casino and the colours and fine detail are incredible. I'd also love a 4K physical release but I'd imagine when it comes it'll be mega money. In fairness to Apple when a movie gets a remaster in 4k hdr they upgrade the edition you own at no extra charge. If only they could sort this annoying glitch. Bloody thing almost looks like an old VHS when it's tracking!

That's great news! I know streaming quality isn't as fine as physical release quality is but as you say, I'm sure the older films streaming in 4K are way better than their blu-ray counterparts, especially GE, which is pretty rough around the edges. I've seen some screenshots shared here in the past and can't believe how excellent they look or the fact that they aren't capitalizing on this and getting physical releases out sooner rather than later. I know the 4K market is still in its early stages but if they did it for the Craig releases, why not for these as well?

Haha, I had the same exact thought when I viewed your video - like a poorly functioning VHS tape almost. I bet it's irritating to experience.

Hoping for a really nice 60th anniversary set next year, which will feel nice and complete now that Craig’s era has been finished. It’s been too long since they did a full DVD set, I’d like that as well as Blu-Ray and 4K for all to be satisfied.

Apparently Goldfinger will be the first classic Bond 4k Blu-Ray release

I’m absolutely fine with that. I’d like to see them all get a release eventually, though.
