  • I'm loving these articles and interviews. I have been checking this thread every single day for YEARS - it's the first thing I do when I get into work every morning. Now I don't know what I'm going to do. This happens every time a Bond film is released: It's wonderful that the film is finally out, but it's a bit sad that the hype is over.

Yep I know that exact feeling mate
  • That's a chummy looking cast, and so happy to see the returnees enjoy these moments!

New French interview where Fukunaga says he is not sure to direct Bond 26 :

"I don't know. It will depend on the timing and the potential of the project. And it's very rare that I do the same thing twice... We'll see where I'm at in my life at that time."

My preference is for a workmanlike, John Glen type for the better shot at retro standalone adventures, but Cary’s got my backing if he lands the job again. He’s clearly very talented.

He's busy directing episodes from Masters of Air. Besides, if he's interested in directing the next film, while the new lead hasn't been cast, the last place to beg for it would be in some interview that would eventually put pressure on Barbara and Greg. In a few months, they'll probably have a talk, but nothing has been decided at this point.

Given the diversity of Cary’s directorial work, I’d bet we get a very different film than NTTD.

Or he could just take a break, and come back later.

I'd personally love to see Cary direct a Bond movie again. It doesn't have to be straight away. Just at some point.

Hear Hear re: mods. Especially to @Birdleson who I understand had the film spoiled for him, and then turned bad into good by making sure the people in these threads didn't suffer the same fate.

I personally would love Cary to return, especially with Linus. EON should talk to him. I know he does not like to repeat himself, but my selling point regarding that is simply the next Bond film must be different in several ways. He is a versatile director and I think that would be an honest and exciting challenge for him. To make another great Bond film, but not the same tone. As far as quality goes, I would definitely be thrilled if Cary returned for the next one. He's a fantastic director.

I hope that some Bond fans won't recall of Fukunaga as
the man who killed James Bond
; because he is clearly one of the most talented directors of his generation.

I'm starting to think Malek was in Norway after all, filming. Thought he only filmed at Pinewood. How the hell did they manage to keep him a secret on set in Langvann, and away from the norwegian press?

Malek did confirm in an interview that he stayed in Norway for one and a half weeks.

There is a reason there is no blood in the gun barrel.
    It foreshadows the end.
