Nice, thanks for the heads up. Could only see the silver one though.
  • Anyone heard of any plans to release a toy/model of the glider from NTTD? I think it would be a wonderful addition.

Was hoping for Hot Wheels to do the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera. The Valhalla had like a few seconds of screen time and didn't do anything. Still a nice looking vehicle though.

So I finally got around to cracking open my DB10 after 6 years. Wow such a nice casting!

Sadly not - I'd love this! And a C-17 Globemaster to put it in.

Judt got an email today to tell me Corgi have cancelled making the model Triumph Scrambler motorcycle that I had ordered, because they are going with a larger model! Bummer, was looking forward to getting it for Christmas! 😕
I got The Making of book on NTTD, which was still in its wrapper as I was saving it . Will open it now this weekend as a consolation!

Enjoy the Making-Of book, it is fantastic! Many unpublished pictures, lots of informative text as well!

I had the die-cast (Corgi) TSWLM white Lotus Esprit as a (very young) kid in the mid-80’s and never realised it’s significance until long after I GAVE IT AWAY….

Still hurts to this very day :-S

Yes. As I had mentioned before here, Corgi is going to be making it in 1/12 scale. So they had to cancel the previous one they had planned.

That does look great. The only Bond cars I have are hot wheels; would love to add this and the V8 to the collection!

I still have the yellow 2CV I've owned since I was very little (our family car was a 2CV and I adored it; not sure if the toy was bought for me or if I stole it from my dad). I only found out it was the Bond one a couple of years ago!

Exactly the same here: I owned it since I was little but it was only a few years ago that I realised it's a Bond one! Is it the one where you push the headlamps to open the bonnet?

Keep it in good condition. That's a classic.

Also I would love the FYEO Lotus (I prefer that later model to the 76 one actually), I think Corgi issued that one as well, with the ski-rack on top...

Yes, they've released an updated version as part of the new series, complete with little wing mirrors and more accurate wheels. I would buy it as I love Esprits but the wonky nose does put me off a bit...

The other model from the James Bond Car Collection looks much sharper and the front-wing decals are in correct angle (shame on you, Corgi!).

Yes - I found this really tricky when I was little! (Might be why it's missing a headlamp now...)

Wow. Glad I got mine when they were only $60. At $60 I knew I was overpaying, but it was still justifiable. But now, forget it. It's not worth $250.

A pity the appearance of the car in the movie was quicker than a hiccup...

I was relieved they didn't use it.
Personally I don't want Bond driving around in a racecar looking like a McLaren knock-off. I want him driving a muscular yet classy, understated supercar (V8 Vantage, CR's DBS,...etc)

As I say, it was Nomi's car, not Bond's.

I think it makes sense if you've got a 'new breed of Double-O' character. But apparently it just didn't work with the location.

WHAT! 250! So- I ordered my NTTD DB5 in August, and we got it. BUT; it was hidden away for my birthday (11 days to go) and my wife mentioned it said 'Casino Royale' on it. Run roh. So I wrote Corgi, first they said we'll send the right one out. Then they said 'sorry we don't have any and may not get any.' Uh...not the right answer. So I -called- Hornby, left a voicemail, and a really nice sales guy says 'I don't know why they told you that, I went back and there your NTTD DB5 was on the shelf with your name on it.' He shipped it right away, and I have it. But I don't GET it til 11/16.

Still waiting for my Q Branch mug too from 007 Store- they say they just shipped it but tracking # is wonky.

Neat photos. Hot Wheels really nail the look.

Got the JL DB5 yesterday. Looks a bit better in person:

oh it's 'hidden' in my wife's closet, let's see, along with the DB5 book, the 007 cars book, a new DBS, the Rolls from GF, a Hot Wheels Valkrie, (Christmas.)
