I spent more time on that mini game, than I have spent on many games themselves. Calling it addictive is an understatement.
And I see that the last DLC for the first season of Sniper Elite 5 is currently downloading on my PS4. I have been underwhelmed by the season thus far (tank top cosmetic and weapon skins that wouldn't look out of place in Fortnite, but no Mosin Nagant ?????) but this pack looks like it might be good). I'll try it out tomorrow.
I love when a game introduces a minigame that somehow becomes more fun or enticing than the base game itself can be. I'm not a card game fan whatsoever but I sunk a stupid amount of time into Gwent in The Witcher 3.
Reminds me how the James Bond Gameboy game taught me how to play Baccarat. I didn't sink a ton of time into it, but having to develop an extremely rudimentary understanding of how the game worked to progress the story was great. It's honestly a fantastic template for a Bond game.
I never played that one unfortunately but that makes a lot of sense. Bond games are certainly a ripe field for introducing any type of gambling/casino minigame.
I wouldn't say that it is more fun that the main game. I mean, Yakuza 0 has an incredibly strong story that will make you laugh, it will make you cry, and it will make you go "what the...". But it is most certainly a fun diversion from the main story. It also serves a legitimate purpose in the game too, as it is how you earn big money to fully upgrade Majimi. Kiryu had the Real Estate mini game, but to be honest, I barely played it. I thought that was a bit of a grind. Now while others thought the Cabaret Club was a grind, I had a blast with it.
"A fun diversion" is a way better description; I worded it incorrectly cause I wouldn't consider Gwent to be better than The Witcher 3 either, but definitely a fun aside within the larger world.
That's another I want to try. I have the Complete Edition in my backlog ready.
You should check it out ASAP. It's easily my favorite RPG of all time.
Yes, it was Léa after all
Armored Core 6 reveal gave me chills, and Elden Ring has been my very first foray into FromSoft.
You've got to admit, Mirage is shaping up to be exactly what the AC series desperately needs. Also, I want to say that as someone that appreciates what was attempted with the original AC, even with it's flaws, it puts a smile on my face to hear them reference it.
If they tighten it up (like it seems they are) and get it back to an exotic, assassin-driven style with flair and a good story, I might have to finally try this series out again.

It's only just 'reports' at the moment, but this has me worried for the future. This could well be the last generation of consoles that I play.
Well, I hope those that continue into the next generation and beyond, are happy with their broken at launch, £70, digital only games.
It does sound like her, plus Keeley is several years older now. Keeley and that costume certainly are some of the most iconic parts Lara Croft history.
I wouldn't go that far, considering we've seen nothing from either project.
I think it is Keeley Hawes, unless they got a soundalike. If it is her, then it's a shame that it is for that. My favourite Lara voice actress being brought back just so COD can claw in some of that Fortnite money. :(
