I hope it's going to be amazing, but my expectations are in check for now. It'll be fascinating to see either way.

Vatican break-in and investigation? Shows a map of the city and the passport suggests he's headed to Rome.

Indy in the Vatican would be epic.

    I'm excited.

It looks like how an Indiana Jones game should. I'm impressed with everything except the title, which is... just underwhelming, I'll say. With the rumors of the Vatican stuff and the time period of course, I'd really love if they could incorporate Fascist Italians as enemies to go along with the Nazis.

Looks a bit stiff for an action adventure game and I really wish it was another third person entry into the world of Indiana Jones gaming but still looks like it could be a lot of fun.

I'm just a bit upset that it isn't coming to PS5. Ironically, The Staff of Kings wasn't released for Xbox 360 at the time. That upset me at the time, too. Nice to see a familiar face(s) back though.

With Microsoft's comments of late, it may come to the PS5 eventually. I guess their announcement could be construed several different ways but time will tell. This does look fun, and I do finally own both the Series X and the PS5, but this wouldn't be the sort of title that'd have me jumping ship exclusively so I could play it.

Thank you for the support. I'd like to update my gaming systems but my car payments and student loans come first. I wonder if we'll see Sallah, too.
  • Indy Lives on ! Really excited after watching that gameplay trailer . These guys have done great work in the recent Wolfenstein mainline games. And I’m pleased it’s Harrison’s likeness , but not his voice. Troy Baker did a spot on impression.

Having watched the trailer again, is that an Italian Blackshirt who breaks the thing at the end? Involving the other Axis Powers is something I’m honestly surprised hasn’t happened more with Indiana Jones before, but it really should! Fascist Italy and Mussolini are particularly fascinating subjects of history to me, and I’d like to see more outside of the usual Nazis, even though I’m fine with them there as well. It does seem a bit odd to me in The Last Crusade when they go to Venice that the fascist condition isn’t really explored at all. Perhaps when it comes to the movies at least, they felt going beyond just Nazis would make things overstuffed. With a video game though, there’s always room for more!

Ha! Yeah, apparently there are people upset that a female character talks back to Indy in the game trailer, which makes me think they've never seen an Indy movie! :D

It's a Bethesda game, so let's keep that in mind.

Though I hope that it comes to Playstation, I would approach it cautiously.

It already looks a little janky in that small bit of footage so I won't be surprised when it's packed with bugs and problems on release day.

One wonders where they are getting these titles from? Dial of Destiny and now "The Great Circle". Surely we can get something a bit better?

Some of the sequences look top notch, mostly with no human in them. The Indy stuff looks a bit, I shall steal @Creasy47 word, janky.

I hope its a fun game for many to enjoy.

In the movie (or game) Indiana Jones and the Mystery of the Prostate Exam, maybe?

That's fine by me, as long as he wears them. They were such a cool part of his attire in the first film. I think they even drew him wearing gloves in the concept art. Four film sequels and he never had them on again. He doesn't even wear them in the video games I've played. I mean, if it's gonna be a prostate exam, at least he'll look great while performing it.

That’s a shame. I really enjoyed it. It wasn’t meant to be a masterpiece. Lucasfilm could have done a James Bond with Indy. There’s always a threat and artifact in any time period that Indy could adapt to in a storyline. I wonder what this means for James Mangold and his possible Star Wars future.

I read a roll up that called out Man From Uncle, Blade Runner 2049 and others as losing an estimated 80 million each.

I'm just glad to have 'em. Dial of Destiny most of all.

Me too! BR 2049 and DoD are great legacy sequels.

TDOD is my least favorite of them all but still really wild to see what a huge financial loss it was for Disney. I'm genuinely stunned that they wound up spending around $400 million on it.

My prediction is that the films that are trashed today will likely become a treasure tomorrow.

We put so much emphasis on Box Office and have these numbers that must be hit. Start with a story and go from there. Of course the film must be entertaining and must put butts in the seats. But to have these films considered "bombs" because people wouldn't see it in a theatre seems like we are missing the point.

I enjoyed Black Adam when I saw it. Not a perfect film but I thought it was entertaining. Many consider it a bomb because it failed at the Box Office.

I never saw Dial of Destiny, I don't have a burning desire to watch it. But I am comforted to know it is there if I am looking for a film to watch one day.

Kong X Godzilla out drew Dune Part 2 at the BO. Does this mean it's a better film? Nonsense, it just had more people come to the theatre to watch it.

Sadly we live in a society where Box Office and Box Office alone seems to determine hit or miss. Sad we don't judge the film on it's merits.

It's A Wonderful Life was a box office dud when it came out. Does this mean it's a bomb? No, it's a wonderful film that didn't find an audience when it was released. Shawshank Redemption was a box office bomb does that mean it's a lousy film? Most have it in their top film lists.

    Rant over! LOL!
