Just watched the trailer, unless there is a twist it looks a bit naff, using a track well known for Kill Bill during the trailer does not help the film. They even used the yellow from Kill Bill in the trailer cast list etc...
Oscar bait.
Russel Crowe appears to like making exorcism movies.

I hope this is not a "Knight and Day" with a drunk.
I have a feeling (hope) that both Cruise and McQuarrie want to show that they can do something more gritty and grounded. I would love it if the 70's setting would be retained.
Agree to the 70's setting, it worked really well in 'The Nice Guys'! Rumour has it that Scarlett Johansson is to play the Prostitute role played by Sondra Locke in the original!
I did like '16 Blocks' it was a neat little thriller, and does owe a lot to 'The Gauntlet', not one of Eastwoods finest, it could do witha decent remake, though I'm not as enamoured as others about McQuarrie helming, dont rate him that highly as a Director!
This has got my attention.
I think this website is not reliable.
Edit: I mean Giant Freakin Robot, not the MI6 Community.
Great movie, I vividly remember when Brandon passed away, he had great screen presence like his father.
One of my personal favorites, as it has several elements that hit close to home for me. I was ecstatic to get the newly released 4K.
Likewise, I need to buy the 4K 30th anniversary edition of The Crow, I am a big fan of Dark City also by the same director a film often forgotten I think mainly because of how much of a cultural phenomenon The Matrix was that was released after.
Fukunaga is apparently back out of director's jail, just not on Bond. Project looks interesting with Tom Hardy and Mahershala Ali

I remember hearing about this a long time ago, at least the part about Sweeney. I actually still have yet to see the original myself.
You and I both. I've had the original on my Watchlist for ages now though and need to get around to it soon.
Sweeney and Edgar Wright that could work well, I look forward to seeing the opening scene recreated lol
Coppola has worked on this film for decades and the history of the project is worth a read, Coppola according to Fishburn discussed the idea with him whilst making Apocalypse Now.
Coppola funded the project from his own pocket selling some of his major assets.
You’re invited to my place for popcorn, soda and hallucinogenics:

I'll be there! I'll clearly need all three of those at once when I inevitably sit down to watch this sequel.
I now demand McGregor's return though, just so I can mock him even more through exaggerated posturing and strutting around my house.
Hey, so long as you’re naked doing it, showing off your tushy, and chewing walls, I will be there to both applaud you and support you!
If that's what it takes, but don't forget the platters of mini sandwiches while I sport a painfully bad Irish accent.
But of course!
I'm in.
