    That toy-model company, TSM, hopefully is not a fake. The website for the MINI GT models is unavailable and their website and FB page does not have any legal or other information about the company. Should I be surprised they got a license for this?

    Their website doesn't give much info on who they are, but a collector's website in the Netherlands claims they are a high valued company with detailed models active since 2007. So, no, Im not surprised they have a license. They're also in Nürnberg every year, which adds to their credibility.

    Just got mine yesterday and it looks amazing. I thought my Hot Wheels Elite DB5 from 2018 was good, the 2024 Autoart DB5 simply blows it away!

    Only downside is it doesn't actually have a working ejector seat or bullet screen that can retract via spring mechanisms like on the previous model. Ejector seat is magnetically fixed in position while the bullet screen needs to be pushed and pulled up manually by hand. Overall details of the car though is definitely improved over the old one from Autoart. And this is my first time handling an Autoart model that isn't diecast. The composite material they used is solid and very lightweight.

    And for the bonus, Autoart didn't have to but they did. The inside of the trunk has all the wiring and canisters to work the gadgets just like how it is on the actual trunk of the filming car!

    Those are interesting especially the 1/8 DB5 kit. But I'm good with my 1/18 Autoart DB5 which I feel is the best one available for it's scale.
    It isn't exactly cheap to begin with too :P
    Plus I barely have room to display a 1/18, let alone a 1/8 model.

    I think it's mad they've replicated the weird incorrect numberplates on the Lotus from the Ian Fleming foundation-owned prop.

    Where did you get the 1/18 Autoart DB5 from ? Is it a resin model ?

    Here they are available in Q1 2025.

    It's already available through Autoart distributors here in Singapore. And yes resin, or Autoart calls it composite. Feels really solid as opposed to my other resin models from other manufacturers though. Hope it age well as it's my first time handling Autoart's composite model.

    No, those aren't UK numberplates. They've made replicas for some reason and got the font completely wrong, I've never understood why they've never replaced them.

    Autoart calls it composite diecast. Yes that's the one. Product ID number is 70296. The old Goldfinger DB5 they did was good but when I compare certain details of the car on the new one, I feel the new one edges out to be better even though it doesn't have the mechanisms for the ejector seat or bullet screen.

    It's so good, I love my one. Maybe the bonnet is a touch too long, but it gets the shape of the car and chunkiness of the wheels better than any other model out there (maybe MiniGT's one might improve on it, we'll have to see).

    It's the most accurate of the 1:64s for sure - love the decision to use grey or silver plastic for the rims rather than paint them. Actually forgot I bought this one.

    Autoart DB5 looks amazing, but I have the gadget-less Sun Star 1:18 and too little shelf space for another of this size.

    I don't think there's a more accurate model of the Bond V8 in any scale so far. It's criminally under-represented, and no one seems to get the shape right.

    The Hot Wheels one is actually very decent with it's shape. Definitely the best V8 so far and it's in 1/64 scale.

    This 60th Anniversary Goldfinger DB5 alone is a masterpiece. I can only dream of them making the NTTD DB5 with the guns hiding behind the headlights that would be able to slide down. If there's a manufacturer that I can imagine pulling that off in 1/18 scale, it's gotta be Autoart.

    Here's the Corgi NTTD DB5 for reference. One can always dream...
