Yeah that's my feeling about it. It would have been fun to see him in action, but I bet it was a bit rubbish.

Yes. I felt and still fell the pain.

“I didn’t care one way or another,” Keaton told GQ. “Big, fun, nice check.”

    Haha, gotta love Keaton.

If it's any consolation, it's very likely the film wasn't particularly good anyway.

I agree, but it's time some of the Bat-Family got some cinematic time. Also, Firefly would have been a nice change compared to some of the other overused villains. Michael Keaton as Batman totally would have been worth it. They cancel Batgirl, but WB and DC allow The Flash to go forward? With a lead who needs to be institutionalized, at minimum? I feel bad for those that worked on both.

    In good news, though.

I still wish we could be the judge of that. The directors haven't let me down so far, and simply seeing Keaton as Batman again would be nice (as it was in The Flash). Also, Brendan Fraser as Firefly sounds like a cool thing to behold. ;-)

Happy 15th anniversary to Batman Arkham Asylum! Still a classic that's worth replaying, all these years later.

Arkham Asylum is one of the very best video games I've ever played. To this day, it remains an absolute delight.

Yes, The Flash is a really odd one. I guess Miller’s ‘issues’ became more public at a point of no return when making that film. That and you can’t really scrap a 200-300 million dollar film. Batgirl’s budget was less than 100 million at the point they cancelled it. From what I understand it wouldn’t have been good enough to release theatrically, and spending any more millions on it wouldn’t have been financially feasible for a streaming release. It may not have actually turned out as bad as The Flash became, but it came down to that.

To be honest, I’m with Keaton here. I really don’t care that this film will never be seen. I’m not entirely clued into a lot of Batman lore after a point, so I have absolutely no idea who Firefly is, and the idea of a standalone Batgirl film seems utterly pointless to me. I think that’s not an unusual view which doesn’t help this particular film. I like Burton’s Batman films/Keaton as Batman, but I think short of something really interesting (ie. a Batman Beyond adaptation in Burton’s Batman universe with Keaton, and even then I don’t know how feasible that’ll be) there’s no reason he should return.

Good news on The Batman 2 though. Really excited for that one!

I totally forgot about this 2 part TV special from 1979 featuring many of the Justice League, Adam West still looked the part.

I swear, it's terrible. I equate it to the Star Wars Holiday Special. There's a vignette with Solomon Grundy that the audience found hilarious apparently, but I thought it attrocious in every possible way. Poor Adam West hardly fit inside his costume. And the jokes were cringe. The truth is I'd rather forget I have ever sat down to watch this show.

Is that the scene with Grundy pretending to be a car valet or something to that effect? I watched scene. The special is very reflective of DC's goofy phase before it got very dark and serious,

Cats and curiosity, sure. Perhaps now there is a corollary statement: Budgetary constraints killed the bat...girl...movie.

    That's the one.

I'm glad the likes of Moench, O'Neil and Adams, Miller and Moore (among others) brought DC back to its darker roots.

Happy 32th anniversary to this timeless classic.

I'm still hoping for new villains. I still think the Penguin is overused in Batman media. He's one of the few things Batman TAS got wrong.

    GRAYSON: 20TH ANNIVERSARY

The 20th anniversary of the epic fan made trailer and also upscale to HD, this is pretty cool.

The trailer cost 18K, I find this trailer interesting as this was made before the MCU and DCU existed.

Same here. But I think Matt Reeves and his team know that there are many other villains in Batman's, something I don't think many creative people realize about Superman. To think, Matt Reeves almost directed MOS. While I like MOS for what it is, I think Matt Reeves could have done with Superman what he did with Batman. I think a multiple villain approach like The Batman could REALLY help cinematic Superman out very much. He could easily use his physical and mental strength against his villains. Filmmakers just rarely mix the two together.

I'm hoping he's not bringing Jack's Joker back to life. Somehow, (Joker, Grissom or Bob survived). The joke is JJM is a well known SW author.

If i had to assume, it's most likely gonna be Harley Quinn. Lately she's been given all the spotlight.

She’s already in the Batman 89 (Echoes) comic book. She is just starting to become her evil counterpart in the current story. Plus the writers have confirmed that they are talking to each other. So I don’t think it’s her. The Mad Hatter maybe?

    What's the problem with Kane?

I don't really have a personal problem with Kane myself, but his refusal to acknowledge the contributions others had made to the creation of Batman (and the Batman universe) has made quite a few Batman fans a bit angry with him. Kane spent his entire life claiming sole credit, while Bill Finger probably did more to bring us the Batman we know and love than Kane. The 2017 documentary Batman & Bill and Marc Tyler Nobleman's book on the subject (a graphic novel) discuss all of this.

In truth, Finger had agreed not to take much credit, but he died a relatively poor man while Kane was doing rather well. If Kane had been fair, he'd have let Finger share a little more in the profit.

I guess many Batman fans, like their favourite character, seek justice. Hence why Kane isn't exactly every Batman fan's idol, while Finger seems to be doing a whole lot better in that department. You could say that fans are giving Kane the Finger. ;-)

Okay thanks, didn't know that. I guess he still should be co-credited though.
