    Yeah the Ferrari looks better.
Too much carbon fibre on the Vanquish ?

I agree that the Ferrari looks better. A more balanced design, a much nicer front too. A gorgeous car that one, really.

The Aston is nice too, but the front is a bit too aggressive for my taste. Looks like a huge whale's mouth at the front, why does the roster need to that big? Quite like the beige interior though...

I like the big grille on the new ones, but something about that Vanquish isn’t quite coming together for me.

Unfortunately the Ferrari reminds me too much of a camaro front.

Ferrari designers said they referenced the Daytona for the front.

Not the prettiest Ferrari ever made. I don't know, I liked the more restrained designs of, say, 15 years ago. I'm not too impressed by Astons huge grills, nor BMW's huge kidneys. I think the Ferrari's too are agressive. I like the 458 over the F8. I like the DB9 over the DB12, etc. etc.

Today 45 years ago the first Lancia Delta was launched. The updated version, the HF Integrale, became legendary as one of the greatest rally cars ever made.

Out of convenience I'm citing Wikipedia here for a moment: "(...) scoring 46 WRC victories overall and winning the constructors' championship a record six times in a row from 1987 to 1992, in addition to drivers' championship titles for Juha Kankkunen (1987 and 1991) and Miki Biasion (1988 and 1989), making Lancia the most successful marque in the history of the WRC and the Delta the most successful car."

    il_fullxfull.3333643337_7mi8.jpg

Lancia remains the most successful marque in WRC history despite not having competed in it since 1992!

Now, I love Lancia, and I was happy to see the Thesis feature in the NTTD pts! I'm even happier that Stellantis have made its intentions public to revive the brand. Forza Lancia!

A DS fan for sure :) This looks amazing, but I'll have to echo @mtm 's question, is it a real DS concept or just a fan tribute?

    Seems like it is official.
    https://www.topgear.com/car-news/first-look/ds-has-made-a-tribute-citroen-sm-and-its-called-tribute

I think I prefer the back end to the front.

Unfortunately when they put the two nose-to-nose:
    DS_SM_TRIBUTE_0713%20SANS%40W.Bonbon_1.jpg?w=1784&h=1004

it's the original I'm looking at more. It just looks better. Look at that wonderful line sweeping to the back at the bottom of the windows- the new one just doesn't have that elegance.

Certainly not in the same ballpark, but today, while coming back home from work, I saw a Fiat Topolino :

Since the car is called Mickey Mouse, I'd say that's rather fitting.

Fiat, imo, proves time and time again that it is the best-looking 'affordable' car brand.

While I'm not at all a fan of those over-motorized cars in this thread that nobody normal can afford and which are (individually) environmental nightmares, this is rather the other extreme. Top speed is 45 (forty-five) km/h, and the battery range is also only in the two-digit kilometers. At the same time, those things are actually obstructing traffic unless they are only driven in city areas limited to 30 km/h. My next car is bound to be something small (we only drive either of our cars, while they last, no more than about 4,000 kms per year, and especially the Jeep guzzles diesel fuel like hell over those short hops), but it must be sort of roomy and practical nevertheless, and it is rather clear it is going to be a BEV. It's fine if it goes no faster than, say, 140 km/h by the way. I'm sure a speed limit of no more than 130 will come even to Germany in the near future. I'm waiting for an affordable compact that fits that description.

I share your sentiment, allthough I drive a lot more. Somebody here in the street has a citroen Avi, and I saw this little car drive by the other day:
    3.0.jpg?quality=82&strip=all&w=1024

The thing is, as they don't have any storage space, they're basically mopeds. But they do take a full parking space of a car, in a city short on parking spaces.

    I think they're kind of a-social vehicles.

They're kind of cute, but their only appeal to Boomers like me is that they look like the BMW Isetta produced from 1955 to 1962, a bubble car licenced by Iso SpA (hence Isetta), and which really saved BMW's existence at the time. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isetta. I remember the Isetta quite well from my childhood, including discovering and playing around in a discarded one in a vacant lot that was set to become part of a new thoroughfare soon after.

I thought they were an incarnation of the Isetta too, but alas. Anyway, these cars seem to appeal to gen Z and later. Aparently they don't drive very far but find cycling too much of a hassle.

I know, I talked about both, the ami beeing the one parked in our street and stealing a perfectly fine parking place meant for real cars.
