    I would have preferred Lucy Boynton, I am not sure Turner has the acting chops or personality to pull off Lara, Turner certainly has the physicality. Saying that they have not really done Lara well in the games for sometime personality wise.

    I don't have Netflix so not watched it myself, it had mixed reviews.

    Turner was in Game of Thrones and in all the 8 seasons, Turner never really showed any range.

    Lucy is a very versatile actress and has a lot of charm and can be tough, Lucy was great in Agatha Christie's Why Didn't They Ask Evans?, Lucy was also in The Ipcress File TV adaption.

    I always felt she was one of the weakest links in GoT. Honestly surprised she beat everyone else for the role but I guess they saw something I never did.

    Agreed @Fire_and_Ice_Returns I'm just hoping Turner does it right. I'm also not sure about her. But maybe they're going after her for her height or her physicality like you said. Also yeah, Boynton would have been better.

    Turner has been starring in a crime drama show called Joan in the UK recently I think it has done well, not watched Joan myself though maybe that helped her get the role...

    When I saw the trailer I thought that actress looks familiar, it took me a while to realize it was Sophie Turner.

    Yeah, it's possible. Because it appears they really want her as Lara Croft.

    She looks a bit on Jolie. I was suprised and only disappointed in that plot for 2018 was same as Jolie movie from 2001. Feels like there only be aloud to that like when Spider-Man be remade or that only aloud to use Joker / Penguine for Batman. If we have got Tomb Raider 2 with Vikander it mabey have remade plot of Jolie second movie. Whyle a lot things are more to like in 2018 Tomb Raider movie then Uncharted, plot i liked more in Uncharted.

    I wil possible never see that series if stick behind that paywall like happend with a lot like Lotr. But get feeling series wil have same plot but then extended version.

    Yeah agreed. While neither are great, Uncharted at least tried to be fun.

    Controversial opinion, I liked Tomb Raider (2018) more than the last Indiana Jones movie.

    That one didn't look good so I didn't bother, but then again DOD did very little for me so it's always a possibility.

    I think the only adaptations I've seen of the games were the two Jolie films.

    It's not the best movie ever made but it shows that you can make an Indiana Jones movie with a smaller budget.
