Such a restless score too. Always uneasy, never quite settles down, except for the romantic pieces.

Other scores from Kamen I enjoy:
    Die Hard
    Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
Die Hard with a Vengeance (the radically-altered film edit though)
What Dreams May Come (also listen to the Morricone rejected score)
    Band of Brothers

    Also love Kamen's sax concerto.

Kamen's score gives LTK a lot of energy, but he also inserts it with a few Latin American sounds that fit the atmosphere of the film perfectly. There's a superb balance between Bondian bombast and atmospherical cues that would only go for this film. I'm super-thrilled to give it my first listen.

Kamen's best non-Bond score is Highlander, IMO. And then come the Die Hards, Robin Hood, Lethal Weapon, even Hudson Hawk, and many more. The only one of his scores I felt let down by was X-Men.

I always sensed it that Kamen's LTK would be released very soon. LLLR records know that Bond music is the best cinematic music and there's a huge market for it. So at this rate, OHMSS, TSWLM, AVTAK & GE would be looked into by them...I could be wrong, but TSWLM & GE could well be next this year. Also, LLLR could even release other Bond scores we never imagined they would touch...maybe something like DN, FRWL, TLD & some of the Craig's Bond ones.

I love John Barry of course, but I think what those other alternate composers who punctuated his run like George Martin, Bill Conti and Kamen did do, was to add in real energy and punch, which I guess is one thing Barry had a bit less of by the mid-70s. I don't love the LTK score, but it is so punchy and high energy and makes everything feel much higher stakes. To be honest I wish they'd got a director like McTiernan or Donner to go along with it, I feel like the film doesn't quite keep up with its own score; it could do with being more operatic and bigger like those contemporary films I tend to think. Imagine a Licence To Kill with the kick of a Die Hard film.

I do love Kamen's thing in these films of repeating one staccato brass note over and over with increasing frequency- like when Hans Gruber falls. It's even in his gunbarrel, and kind of gave away to me that that leaked Clapton demo was the real thing last year- it was just too Kamen-y.

Yeah, we know in 2019 they were hoping to release LTK, MR and OHMSS, and now we've had two of those it seems not impossible they might do OHMSS, I guess it depends if they drop the anniversary angle or not.

AVTAK is the most likely next release given the 40th anniversary is May 22nd 2025. It was the first Bond film to have a world premiere in the US.

The Spy Who Loved Me would be ideal in 2027. Two years wait though. It would make sense to delay it until the 50th anniversary.

Can't wait to have the complete Score of AVTAK, there are so many great unreleased cues. And this (first 2 and half minute) is an absolute masterpiece

Yes but there's not so much unreleased tracks as AVTAK or GE, so the Priority at LalaLand Records should be AVTAK and GE.

Edit: Here a the list of the missing TB-Cues

    Derval is Killed (3M1)

    The Casino (5M4)
Bad Guy drive to Largo (7M1 ?)

Do the masters exist for Thunderball? I've seen conflicting comments on that. I would be more excited by AVTAK probably, but TB is an amazing score and should be done.

Yes. TB is a great score. I really love it. I remember Jude Law in one interview, saying it's his favorite Bond score. The TB score I have, is basically complete. I think the priority for LLLR should be to release those Bond scores with really missing music, then face other scores like TB to basically remaster it, not necessarily adding any new music.

The 2003 releases of everything from FRWL up to and including LALD (+FYEO and TLD) were already fairly extensive, is there really a lot that can be added to those?

The TB 2003 release didn’t have the vocal rendition of MKKBB by Dionne Warwick, so I’m pretty certain LLL will include it in a (cross our fingers) fully remastered 60th anniversary release later this year.
GF was pretty much complete and still got a remastered release in October so I don’t see TB, or any other nearly or fully complete Barry score, not getting the same TLC from LLL.
Pretty gutted we didn’t get OHMSS but I truly hope it doesn’t mean we’ll have to wait another 5 years for it.

TSWLM would be a fantastic release. My favorite film and the released soundtrack for it is so limited with the tracks. Very barebones. An expanded soundtrack is a MUST! On the other hand OHMSS already has plenty of extra and bonus tracks so I’m not sure what more could be included in yet another expanded soundtrack. The previous release was already expanded.

Really hope there are those in LLLR who are eager to release an expanded version of GE. Of all the scores to be expanded that’s the one I want the most, especially if restored to how the composer originally intended like they just did for MR and OP.

The Thunderball score is not complete, there is still roughly about 20 to 25 minutes of unreleased music , so would really look forward to an expanded release of this score hopefully this year by LLL Records 🤞🤞🙏🙏

It's strange that rather than celebrating what has been confirmed, people immediately start listing what else they want. All in good time, gents. For now, LTK. Let's talk about that and be grateful for what we are soon to receive.

Believe me, I'm beyond grateful for the excellent work LLL has been doing with Bond music. These last few years have been gifts of the Bond content I desire. I'm loving what we're getting but that potential excitement for more unearthed music is also equally great. I look forward to seeing the day in the not so distant future where a new user comments on the "Lost but now found" thread and says "But they released all the music bruh!" :P

When it comes to the Bond music aficionado's, we're eating good!
