For those who are interested, I'm an aspiring filmmaker, and for some time now i've started with a project which, if possible, i would like to bring to the big screen. The project in question is a feature-length movie based on one of my favorite childhood series and franchises overall, Ben 10, and it's something very ambitious i've been thinking about.

Before continuing, i would like to provide a little context about the franchise as i am aware that many will not know what i am talking about:
Ben 10 is an American media franchise conceived by Man of Action, produced by Cartoon Network Studios, and owned by Warner Bros. Entertainment. The franchise revolves around a young boy named Ben Tennyson, who discovers the Omnitrix — a high-tech, extraterrestrial device shaped like a wristwatch. This remarkable gadget contains the DNA of various alien species, allowing Ben to transform into them at will. Initially, the Omnitrix features ten alien transformations, but over time, Ben gains the ability to unlock additional species.

The idea of this project is to recontextualize the plot of Ben 10 in the 1950s decade, in an alternate reality that mirrors the 1950s world while paying homage to the Silver Age of Comics. I already have an outline in my head of what i want to do, and i hope to share more details as i progress with it.

Any thoughts or questions?

One idea i had for this project was to pay homage to the Golden and Silver Ages of Comics; therefore, the film would be set in an alternate reality that would reflect the contemporary world of the 1950s, while also having a retrofuturistic aesthetic. What i thought was that the film would start in a way that is reminiscent of the Golden Age and slowly transition to the Silver Age, "why" you might be asking? Well, that's because both the Original Series and the subsequent Reboot began airing in the middle of their corresponding decades (2005 and 2016 respectively), and if you are familiar with the history of comics you will know that the turning point between both ages was between 1955 and 1956.

Another thing that i would also be interested in exploring is what, how and how much the story would change within the political and social context of the time. How would the world react to confirmation of the existence of extraterrestrial life? How would the United States and the Soviet Union react? Would they form a peace pact and unite? Or would things become more tense between both nations?
