This Sunbeam Tiger was reissued in 2016 and uses the same moulds as the Get Smart-branded Sixties version, which means it still comes with a few neat accessories, like the car phone. I had to buy a 3D-printed machine gun, though - and while I was at it I decided I needed a Fang.
Thank you! It was an annoying model to put together (because it hadn't changed since the 60s, I guess) and I had to resort to superglue in several places!
When I got it home, I realised the kid in the middle is about to embark on the James Bond DB5!
You deserve it.
Love how you portrayed the propellers!
Anything OP is up my alley, never seen a model of the Beechcraft, you’ve done a great job with it.
Oh, lovely - looking forward to pictures! I have the AN-124 (DAD) to do but I'm a bit scared of embarking on that one.
Thank you!
Sharp eyes! It's Revell weathering powder and I use a dry paintbrush. I also used some wet on the underside, where the film shows there's some oil stains around the engines.
I missed this - what an excellent tip! Thank you.
The iguana was a nice touch 😅
Am so jealous, always wanted to have a model of the Kenworth truck from LTK, but you never see it in any of the collections!!
I thought about it! Couldn't find stick-on gems tiny enough.
Don't tell anyone but when I was working on it I realised it wasn't quite the right model. But you'd have to be pausing the movie a lot (as I did to get the detail) to notice, I hope!
Not a model, with the Kenworth mention I want to promote the Orlando Auto Museum and what it calls their Bond Lounge.
Populated with what they declare as the largest and most impressive James Bond collection in the world! I visited when it was called Dezerland Auto Museum with one of those full size Kenworths on display.
There is even a section of Bond books and models and other memorabilia to absorb, recommended. And for a LALD kick, check out the nearby Gatorland venue. About 5pm is feeding time I recall.
Original Opening
Kenworth
There's a Daimler parked next to the 2CV which I'm scratching my head about though, what's that from? The age of it would mean either TND or TWINE, but I can't think where?
@Agent_99 Love the Kenworth build! How about a silver glitter glue pen for the iguana's necklace? Paint it on some string or similar.
Daimler Super V8 from QoS? Number plate should be WX 82 RE
Oh, that Green rides in Austria? Yeah good call, could well be that. I think its steering wheel is on the wrong side but it is the right model, nice work.
I never noticed it was surprisingly old to be in that film but maybe they got an old one so they could drop the guy on the bonnet.
Thank you! Hm, that might work - I think I have one of those somewhere too!
