Awesome. Yes Batman filmed there. If I remember, up past Lime Street there's elegant buildings and streets like in London.

I lived in Liverpool. It was years ago, but honestly I don't see how it can pass as London. That said, I'd love to see it featured in a Bond film. Hugo Drax (the one Drax the villain stole his identity from) came from Liverpool. So we could juuuuussst add a bit of Fleming like that.

As I have said previously, I believe that things are further along than many believe.

I don't really need to see England again as a location.

Interesting to see "Where Does Bond Go After Craig" on the down slide now that we have this thread.

It's kind of difficult for it not be since it's where the character lives and works.

My first thought when i read Liverpool and with Liverpool accent Bond i must think about Danny Boyle as directer and mabey going to look cheap /BBC series level. But when i take a look to pictures of Liverpool i think it can double for Vs, Italy or Germany.

What a load of absolute bullcrap. Why would they be banned from filming in London? It's not explained at all. The Sun and Mail have an issue with London because they're racist and right wing and have an issue with the mayor, that's about the size of it. Disregard.

    Common sense and logic prevail.
If you could rank such 'stories', this would be filed under avoid the bs.

Why are the likes of GB News/The Daily Mail suddenly hyped for James Nelson Joyce as Bond? Incredibly random…

    Anyway, yeah this is bs.

I just thought about Rachel Weisz as M, for Bond 7's era.

Good choice. But I don’t really want many DC things (including himself on stand by), for a while.

Emily Blunt would be one of my choices. She’s good at a bit of office chatter between M and Bond.

I know he's made some stinkers like the 2015 Peter Pan, but I kinda hope Joe Wright is taken into consideration too as one of their options for director, I think I also suggested him for B25, I just really feel he did a good Bond sizzle reel with his 2011 film Hanna.

Yeah. Blunt is also a good choice.

If they feel computing gender swap supporting characters, I would prefer a return to an older male “ M” and have a female version of Felix.

I'm not sure that a male friendship dynamic like Felix and James' would work with a female Felix. Female Q would work though. Much like Z in The return of the Man from U.N.C.L.E.

In the Connery/Lazenby era we almost NEVER saw London exteriors. The reason I could do without London as a lingering location is that I want Bond to get his assignment, grab his gadgets and get out of town. Also, I don't want to see Bond interface with the home office or staff until he completes his job, unless he needs them to provide info along the way.

As M? That's interesting, she is amazing and wouldn't be a retread of the previous Ms and yet has a lot of natural authority, I don't mind that idea at all.
