Lol ..you're really proud of yourself for that one, huh?
:P
Funny
;) ..humor always welcome.
Let me rephrase: I personally found the FRWL score not as good as the five scores that followed, GF, TB, YOLT, OHMSS and DAF. My point: he really showed his best qualities for the Bond films during and after GF.
So let's be patient. Give the man Thomas Newman a chance and stop this "you better we fff-in brilliant or I kill you"-mentality.
Another rephrase?. You are not rephrasing, but using a technique called "moving the goalpost"

I did not personally find his SF score poor at all. It was lacking in orchestra certainly, but I have heard that the budget was cut for orchestra in SF, particularly in comparison to QoS. The budget cut could even have influenced his use of Arnold's Bond theme composition for the DB5 rollout (not sure). Furthermore, he did not have a bold, brassy track like YKMN to work with for SF, as Adele's track was down tempo & slow.
I'm open to seeing what he comes up with for SP before throwing him to the wolves. I'm an optimist when it comes to Newman, because I liked some of the themes & melodies that I heard in SF....and want to see how he develops his ideas for Bond in SP.
I believe the title track from Smith will give us big clues to the score, as I said earlier.
In both posts I meant the same. Sorry if I'm fucking it up in writing.
So, Mendes confines in someone outside of producrtion, whereas according to Babs, they don't want this (if true) to be out there. Doesn't make sense, Mendes wouldn't be so dumb. Plus, according to those, who read the script, you can see the end either way, as a cliffhanger or a Good Bye. We know, everybody is sworn to secrecy, yet you go out and spread the "news", which makes you unloyal, if nothing else.
Here's also a much better quality version of the spot
Nice tidbit in there: the ad was directed by none other than Daniel Kleinman
Swimming against the stream (as I seem to do often around here) I loved the new MP from the get-go, even if her casting was clearly politically driven. And I think she has great chemistry with Craig!
I sure hope she will get some action in Spectre. After that ad she already is my No 2 (a tie with Samantha Bond). Let's see what Spectre will have in store for her. Very excited.
You can post as many pictures of the SF album as you want, you missed the point where I said I 'Don't care what anyone says'.
I'll never understand why David Arnold was not kept.
Skyfall has its moments score wise but it is highly forgettable except for the very good music during the PTS.
I truly hope Newman can finally give us a Bondesque score for Spectre that is instantly recognisable as such.
It's at least better than posting blunt one-sentence statements in which people shamelessly accuse other people of being dumb.
I have a Sony Xperia V now, which is entirely waterproof. Have it 2 years now, and the phone still works great. Love the brand much more than Apple or Samsung. The latter brands are for the bland mass.
I didn't call anyone dumb.
Here's hoping the two SPECTRE featurettes (The Story So Far and The Shadow of SPECTRE) make their way online soon...they aren't on the discs btw it seems, it's online access.
Your behaviour on here sometimes imply that. But it's understandable in a way, as you are a movie professional....
Yes!! Can't wait!! My German friend Klaus keeps me updated once he receives all 9 steelbooks. Then he sends them to me :-).
By the way, the featurettes "The Story So Far" and "The Shadow of SPECTRE" are available online for the buyers of those steelbooks ("Neuem Bonusmaterial Online Verfügbar"). The German stickers on the steelbooks mention that. So good news no? ;-):
It's not my fault you made yourself look silly. I made a comment, which a few others agreed with. Leave it at that.
That's true yes, you can only get the disc versions if you buy the whole bloody new Bond set again....that's also out tomorrow:
US Edition of the new collector's box:
Dutch edition of the new collector's box:
But I can't be bothered about that. The steelbooks have more long-term value.
