He is caricaturing his statements in a way to get maximum marketing impact. Like a WWE wrestler. It's working. He's resonating. He's cutting through the clutter. It's brilliant PR.
I differentiate that from his real views on things. He is more sensible and practical than he lets on. I've followed him for many years. Ruthless, sure. Tough spoken, yes. But not a lunatic as some fear.
He and Sanders are the only alternatives if you want real change. The others are all status quo and special interest driven. They will not get anything changed in my view. In fact, Trump may be able to cajole the Republican congress to get real change, which is where the real problem lies. They won't work with a democrat, and certainly not Clinton.
The only real risk with Trump is he's a gambler, and the world is a little too risky to have a gambler in office right now.
Keep in mind he is on the Republican side and he must win a Republican primary. It's either go the way he's going, or appeal to God, guns and anti-abortion.
Ego driven, corrupt, merciless, only money counts and power and for that, everything in the way can be run over . He feels, America has lost some of its mojo in the world and will wants to put back the fear of god into every other nation again - with brutal force. War? No problem, because dont fool with me or else.
Elect him and prepare yourself for WW3. Amd you dont need no crystal ball for that.
He has one god- himself. There are no other interests in this man.
People like him are why I've gradually become an antinatalist, despite the great parenting I've seen my entire life from my own mother and father and others outside my family. Why bring a child into the world when this is what we're facing right now? It just doesn't seem like a safe bet.
I don't mean to go on... I've got a lot of work I still need to do today-can't get too distracted at the moment. But I have very much enjoyed discussing things with a well-informed individual such as yourself. Thanks for that.
As I said, I've followed the guy for some time and he is a shrewd business man and marketer. He's very practical (one has to be to survive in the New York real estate business) Everything he does is with intent and a plan. He's deliberate and focused. Even his comments are very targeted.
For example he mentioned a ban on muslims entering the US until our politicians can figure what the hell is going on.
Meaning, Washington, get your darn policy in order. However, it was misinterpreted and got a lot of coverage, as he knew it would.
I'm not saying he's the right guy for the job. I'm just saying that people misunderstand him. There's a lot of bluster in his marketing. Behind it all, there's a smart guy with backbone and a heart. It's that backbone that many of the other candidates lack, and I think the American public realizes that. Bernie has balls too.

Yes, it has, and I apologize for my hand in some of it. Thanks for starting a proper thread for this stuff, @chrisisall. Hard to reign in passions when they've already begun to feel a release. ;)
Not sure what Congress you're looking at Brady. The Republican leadership in Mitch McConnell and previously John Boehner basically have given everything Obama wants the last couple years. They've bent over backwards to avoid government shutdown, and they haven't even fought against anything Obama had proposed. Now while not everyone in the Republican Party agrees with that tactic, you should be happy with these two in leadership.

Because he's the only adult in the room regarding the only issue that really matters--the demographic issue.
If arrogance is a disqualifier for the presidency then the office would have gone vacant for the last quarter century. And BO never would have graduated from Chicago rabble rouser.
Both could use a new hairstylist though.
Seeing that Angela Burq'el is a madwoman herself, you certainly know from whence you speak.
Point well taken. I moved my discussion into that thread.
How so? They're not forcing anyone to go.
Looking forward to getting the BluRay
I often find movies in theatres a bit 'fuzzy'.
