Well then they should be working on a story basically a synopsis and if Craig like what he read and wants to do it tweak the script to make it for Craig and if he doesnt like it tweak it for a new actor
Moreover, EON is known for following trends and not creating them as of late. They latch onto what has been successful with other franchises and then tend to tweak it for the Bond universe.
So perhaps it doesn't make sense to do anything until they get closer to knowing when the next film will be released.
That's why, Ben-Hur is a real tale, historical fact, and that's always to. End of story.

Good point. With the B17, Connie Webb/robots treatment being shelved during the legal battle, I believe for whatever reason, it was decided to completely start fresh with a new script after the case had been resolved.
I wonder what current trend the next oo7 film will embrace? Maybe Bond 25 will be shot and look like Batman V Superman?
makes the most sense. You have a great actor in the role, who has brought in a billion plus dollars at the box office. As someone has already mentioned, DC's been Babs collaborator, and, I'd say confidante. The two of them seem to be genuinely close friends and the partnership's been rewarding for both.
I don't see this relationship ending any time soon.
BTW, has anyone been following the Barbara Broccoli film in production? After all these posts I've made griping about the fact the Bonds take longer (I should change my user name to 2yearGap), I just now discovered she's doing a bio-pic on film noir legend Gloria Grahame. I must say I'm a pretty big fan and more than glad to wait an extra year for this film. Turning over a new leaf.................
It's more like 3 billion plus, but who's counting?
^:)^
I've long thought that Eon got too hung up on "tailoring" a script to a Bond actor. Actors are supposed to act.
Example: Bond kicking the car off the cliff in For Your Eyes Only was *NOT* tailored to Roger Moore. He expressed concerns but was told to do it. He did it. It worked.
Which is why Eon should seek to produce great Bond moments instead of "tailoring" Bond moments to its actors. Sir Roger was asked to do something out of his comfort zone and delivered.
Edit: I noticed it was already posted by: JawsIsAlive
And that doesn't count Dvd sales?
Moore's second was also the following year, '73 to '74 for LaLD to TMwtGG respectively. I think it was more like a year and half, but still. A previous page here people mentioned how each Bond actor has gotten their second film pretty fast, with Moore and Connery being the outlying actors, somewhat.
Maybe we should have one Bond movie a decade. The anticipation will build and the movie will do great business. It will be an *event.*
end joke.
I'm old and I can't wait. :!! :-L
I think QoS did more money than CR.
Stay in mind because i think it count DVD sales, not just box office sales.
Casino Royale = considered good
Quantum of Solace = considered bad
Skyfall = considered good
SPECTRE = considered bad
Bond 25 = considered good?
Don't forget a big explosion.
Yes good point. The same explosion that Mendes and Hoyte forgot to film. Ugh that makes me so mad.
