    Well, folks, today marks my 39th birthday and the 16th anniversary of my "MI6" membership. I joined KTBEU in 2005. It's been a blast all these years so I'm not really thinking about stepping down any time soon. ;-)

    Today is my 30th birthday as well as my mother's 60th. I have gotten used to the strangeness of sharing a birthday (well, it was never strange for me as I have never had it any different way) but today is special because I am now exactly at the age she was when I was born.
    Times and society have of course massively changed in the intervening 30 years and we are clearly not the same person, but to think that she had her second child at the point in her life that I am at right now is wild to me.

    Anyway.

    I remember when I hit 30, I thought the same way, as my mum had me at 30.

    Your 30s will be great. It's kinda like your 20s, except you don't make as many dumb decisions. :))
