WOOOW! Back off!
Let me explain.
Firstly, Angie's pretty hot and badass in the film. Also, Gerard Butler does his part of the job rather well. Ciaran Hinds is a great villain and I'm a huge fan of Silvestri's scores so naturally I gravitate towards this film even more because of his tunes. The action is decent enough and I thought it was an overall improvement over the first film.
People who expected a Citizen Kane should have understood what this was: a video game adaptation. Uwe Boll tried and he never got it right. Other attempts have been made, but few are as enjoyable, IMO, as TR2. Yeah, here's the food analogy again: TR2 is like peperoni pizza: the more cheese and spicy meat you put on it, the better it tastes. TR2 brings the meat and it sure packs a lot of spice so I'm happy. And when I'm at the pizza stand, I don't expect an expensive steak anyway so I'm rolling with this.
Played and loved the original games and bought the latest one but haven't gotten around to playing it properly.
Me too. The only Tomb Raider games I haven't played are the first one (but I completed Anniversary), Angel of Darkness and the new one, but I loved TR 2-5, Legend and Underworld.
@mattjoes I am still playing Rise of the Tomb Raider, I completed the full game and bought the DLC all of them they were on offer on Xbox Live
Anybody played the TR2 remake demo? Pretty great. There's also a TR3 remake in the works. Fan-made, both of them.
I have a few of the older games on PC, I bought Anniversary though did not realise there was a remake of TR2 that was quite a difficult game quite challenging, TR3 was my favourite from the early games recently played some of it again on PC.
I have very happy memories of playing the original over one summer, hanging out with my friend and his PlayStation, and I'm excited that the new game is getting a Mac OS version - haven't played a Tomb Raider game on my Mac since the early noughties!
BTW, Lara Croft Go is a nice little game for those of us who enjoy puzzles but get fed up of being violently killed because we're not so quick with the Magnums...
This is the TR2 remake:
TR3 may be my favorite as well. The India levels are just great.
Wow I need to get this will check what platforms it is available on.
Huge Tomb Raider fan. Love the games and I like Camilla Luddington as the character. Haven't completed RoTtR yet and I'm curious about the new film but think it was a missed opportunity to not cast Gamma Arteton or Laura Haddock. Not really a fan of Vikander.
Performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Metro Voices, and recorded at Abbey Road.
