It was a must win game Danes should go through now

It's those injuries though; they can make things more difficult. Hopefully nothing serious.

True though some time to recover if just knocks

Onto game four hoping Nigeria can cause a shock

Hoping for a Nigeria win, too. Iwobi to score, perhaps?

I picked him in my Fantasy Football team

I was close to doing so too, but went for three expensive players instead - downgrading the midfield. If he starts well, I might have to change things.

All players I chose would have gained me points so far I may do Fantasy Football for next Prem season

Didn't think I'd enjoy playing Fantasy games at first, but now I find it highly entertaining! I've played the Premier League game, the Eliteserien game, and the Allsvenskan game so far this year. For the World Cup I play the McDonalds/Fifa game, and the Norwegian VM-manager game - which is much the same as the McDonalds/Fifa one, only with different rules and player prices.

Great! Maybe we can make a Back of the net! league once the season starts. I think the upcoming season's game will be up in July, so you have plenty of time to make the team you want to go with for the first game week.

Will do! Think I'll get an automatic email once the game is available.

Not the most interesting match between Croatia-Nigeria so far. Can only hope it opens up eventually.

    Shit goal.

Mind you with the Iran goal too that now puts OG on 2 just behind Ronaldo. That’s his best run of form since he finished second in Utd’s scoring charts a few seasons ago with a haul of about 14. You can’t deny the lad has ability.

Damn. Hope Nigeria can get a draw at least.

A for effort though PERU failed as lacked composure in key moments.

To Denmark's luck. Could have been a totally different score if Peru put those chances in the net.
    How is Isthmus doing?

    Isthmus?

The Republic of Isthmus. Football is huge in Latin America. Didn t they qualify?

Don't tell President Lopez. Or his successor(s).

Ha ha OG had a good season that year, off top of my head I think it was 9

Probably too much to ask from them to score two now…

And I daresay you paid OG a fair bit less in wages too!

Bit harsh on Nigeria. Yes it’s a pen all day long, but Martin Skrtel does that at every single corner and I’ve never seen one given.

That's actually the first corner I can remember being given for things like that. Happens every game.

Great opening to the Germany-Mexico match! This is the World Cup entertainment you want to see.

Mexico is playing very well. Probably inspired by their 2026 WC win. They are showing no fear.

Outstanding! They deserved that certainly. Quite brilliant.

I walked into that one. Should have seen it coming.

Mexico scores! Germany have to step up in defence - Mexico keep getting chances.
  • edited June 2018 Posts: 17,783
Oooh! That was close for Germany! Was it the crossbar or did the keeper save it?

Well this wasn’t in the script!

Kraut defence all over the shop. Every time Mexico crosses the halfway line they’ve got acres to run into and only two jittery looking defenders in the German half.

Last tome I saw them play this badly Heskey was on the score sheet.

Still we all know what they are like. Needless to say they will probably have the last laugh.

Well you’re the authority there Lionel cos you offered bugger all too. Stop your fucking whining and start stepping up to the plate son.

Indeed. Stupid comment to make. Iceland did what they were there to do. Defend well, and let the collective team effort try to steal point(s) - which they did.

    Oh dear.

Surely Hazard v Panama the only way to go?
